I'm rapidly approaching the 1000 rep mark, and the 4th star it brings. I feel I should play a bit more Panzer General in preparation for the next star. So, a celebration is in order (as usual).

First, up for grabs:
2x $9.99 GOG bonus codes.
1x Steam key for Hotline Miami, since I already have it.
1x Humble Indie Bundle 8 BTA gift link. Requires answering the HIB question.

How do you qualify? Post here naming what you are aiming for. Forum regulars are automatically admitted, non-regulars should answer one (or more) of the following questions. Forum regulars are also free (and encouraged) to answer one or more of them as well. If you are unsure about being a regular, just answer one or more of the questions.
Clarification edit: How do I tell the regulars from the non-regulars? More or less a "How often have I seen this user in the forums?". Thus the asking of questions, to have the shy or lurking users participate a bit more in the forum. Who knows, they might even like it ;)

So, the questions:

1) Tell me of an "Oh God, how did I fail that bad" or "In your face!" experience you had in an FPS game.
2) What control scheme that has gone at least up to the prototype stage would you like to use for a game that doesn't support it, and how would it make the game more entertaining/fun. Clarification edit: Examples include the WASD controls for Wolfenstein 3D, Joystick support for Starfox, or the Artemis Starship Bridge Simulator for FTL. The prototype stage is so answers like "Psionic control for The Incredible Machine" won't be accepted, unless there was an announcement I missed ;)
3) Are you (or were you) active in a research field? How did you become involved into it?
4) One classic and one new release on GOG that really excited you, and why?
5) Do you know about the GOGWiki? Why haven't you been active there yet? What page of the Wiki do you think you could "adopt", to make sure it's correct and up-to-date?

HIB Question: Why can't you grab the Bundle yourself? Is it due to lack of cash? Unsure about the games? Trying your luck to grab it for free, but in case Lady Luck isn't by your side, you'll grab it either way? An entirely different reason?

So, a little clarification for rules.
Enter for one of the prizes. Makes my life a bit easier.
Enter for yourself. I'll send you the code, you do with it as you wish, but I'd prefer if you don't do a giveaway with it.
Answering the questions isn't mandatory, I'm just curious. No extra chances awarded if you do answer them.
Giveaway ends once I notice I'm at 1000 rep or more (34 rep needed, so at least a week) or on July. The bonus codes expire on July 13th, so I want to give them with a bit of time to spare.

Nope, hard time limit also defined. And no more caravans to extend the time limit ;)
I used to play halo alot. this was halo three I think but cant remember for sure. My friend had been playing halo for awhile as well. He had just beat some world ranked player and was bragging, so we played a game. This was the first time we played against each other and I decimated like 50 to 3. It was a good day for me, and a definite in your face moment.

Ill enter for one of the $9.99 gog bonus codes. thanks for the giveaway.

In for the Humble Bundle.

1. You have no idea how many times I've failed to hit something that was right in front of me in Counterstrike

2. Can't think of any

3. Uh, I'm 16. The most "research" I've been a part of is a few online surveys.

4. Classic: System Shock 2. I guess I kinda just got caught up in the hype, I guess. As a young'un I was more of a console person, was never really allowed pc games. Also, Fallout 1 for free, although it wasn't really a release.

New: GENEFORGE SAGA! OH MY GOD YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MANY HOURS I SPENT ON THE DEMO'S BACK IN THE REAL ARCADE DAYS OH YES.

Didn't expect it to be on here.

5. My wiki page.

HIB: I can't grab it because I'm flat broke.
1) I have plenty of this moment but usually it's because i'm terrible at aiming. In your face moment i think it was from the first Halo title. Nothing more satisfying than ramming your opponent from behind with full speed ATV (i don't quite remember the vehicle).

4) Recent classic that really excited me has to be Sensible World of Soccer. The game probably isn't popular around here. I actually know nothing about this game, took a gamble and loved it. Being a sports fan myself, this game sit right beside Pro Evolution Soccer series from PS 1 & 2 era as the one of the most addictive sports title i ever played.
Newer release got to be Driftmoon. Totally change my perspective about indie gaming. I used to ignore GOG announcement whenever it's related to the indies, now not anymore.

5) I used to contribute a little bit to Dragonsphere and Pod but no longer active because i can't be sure whether i have correct information to make any additions.

I would like to enter for $9.99 GOG code. And thanks to you for making this giveaway.
I am in for the GOG code
thnx

for the questions:
1. The first time i tried a rocket-jump and naturally killed myself.
2. Illuminati used in an FPS...with a nice lightgun
3. nope
4. Fallout....because i didn't need to search for patches (from unknown sources)
Great Gianna, first its a vey good game, second we should more support the Indi developers.
5. nope again

HIB: atm i run out of money ;-)...but i am sure that i get my games anyway (only what WHAT 17 days till next paycheck)
I am not in because I have too many games and too little time, but I'd like to answer the first question:

1) I don't play FPS because I usually get sickness motion. Isn't that embarrassing? But I have some FPSs in my backlog that I still want to play, like Half-Life 2 and STALKER.

Thanks for the giveaway!

JMich: 4) One classic and one new release on GOG that really excited you, and why?
Classic? System Shock 2, do I rly have to explain? :)
New? Tbh there was not any new release that excited me.

JMich: 5) Do you know about the GOGWiki? Why haven't you been active there yet? What page of the Wiki do you think you could "adopt", to make sure it's correct and up-to-date?
I know about it, but I'm not fan of having account on a every different page, I guess that's why I never been active there.

Apart from that, congrats for "almost" hiting 1k rep, +1.

And if I can, I would like to enter for 9.99 gog price ;)

Research? Well, I used to work as an archaologist: which at the time was surprising as archaology work was thin on the ground, I was unemployed and not qualified. However I got the work through a work placement scheme. pretty soon I was up to my elbows sortfing soil samples (comprised primarily of liquid viking shit and plague soil). I'm not sure exatcyl what breakthrough was made, but Dr. "Bones" Jones of the YAT bought me a rather nice bottle of wine (he specialises in coprolites!).
As a result of this I got to work "live" on digs - dug up two bodies (one still "fresh" to a degree), some of this work also contributed to (minor) bits of research being conducted on the Viking history of York at the time.

Cheers jmich - I'll go for... the $9.99 GOG, cheers!

...and well done on the (evidently) earned rep!
