TurdFerguson87: This is a really weird and distorted interpretation of events.
ZP themselves mentioned it on their Twitter page. LOL.

The only reason that Zoom Platform is even an issue is because people affiliated with Zoom Platform come to GOG and post in the forums about how we should abandon purchasing games on GOG and purchase at Zoom Platform instead.... or they make threads pretending to be regular users and make threads that have no purpose except to make you not want to purchase games on GOG.

This really would be like going to any store that isn't Walmart and finding yourself being approached by Walmart representatives telling you that you should buy things at Walmart instead. When it's looked at that way, it makes Zoom Platform's behavior look only look shady because it isn't acceptable. I don't think that its going to be putting GOG or any other storefront out of business.

Like the ZOOM employee who will post negative things on GOG forums occasionally. I remember him trying to down play GOG when they got skyrim.

The only person do that is Jordan himself, only on Steam, only in hub of titles that is no more available on Steam. Never saw Zoom store "propaganda" here. Can person above link that?

Zoom advantages in their small team and store who fight for customer. Fight for titles appear on store. And we usually as customers really greet such small teams. GOG not so much bigger (although they part of CDPG ) and that too is one of the reasons players greet new store in 2008. FireFlower Games store which one along with ZOOM been advertised on GOG's FCKDRM site also a good small team store. But they seems don't like non-indie publishers and publishers that convert from indie to non-indie. I guess they them self remove 1C Daedalic and maybe someone them self 's. Strategy First which one now just a name (originally of just developer team) never be there and I guess never appear there. Like on old Desura store.

That one is more issue than Jordan position against GOG. Or Steam(?).
Such is the nature of competition. Assuming the worst, as long as the titles that people purchased on GOG remain available for download, I can't find fault with that Zoom might be doing here. I'm not going to complain about a competitor keeping GOG on its toes.

I'm glad that his "Boycotting DRM and Game Censorship" thread got locked last October because I always felt that the thread was more about boycotting GOG in hopes that the site would go out of business than it was about boycotting specific games that had DRM or organizing against those specific games.

Lie for purpose again. Not a mistake. Wrong way to be fanboi. Looks like steam fanboism more. Not like DRM-free fanboi (like I hope most persons here). I stand for GOG against lie about GOG (Hitman is DRM Free! Because IT IS available for sp content offline!). I stand for Zoom against lie about Zoom. Which one happened once again here in another thread about Zoom. Not only OP now.

Imagine Jordan asking to buy Bethesda games on Zoom...
What? There is no Bethesda games on Zoom? So it is good GOG exclusives now? Zoom exclusives are bad though, right? Right. Indeed. That what is people like OP told since first thread about ZOOM. They start from it and keep complain about exclusives are bad because it is not GOG exclusives. So they don't care about truth and lie about ZOOM staff acting and what they say. They lie that games move from GOG to ZOOM. E-V-E-R-Y such cases happen only after ZOOM got delisted title as well. It only re-appeared there.

And only ZOOM got lost license cause of GOG company. foad01 list such titles. Now they are more and there is a chance it grown more. There is campaign against ZOOM. Same as against GOG from very beginning of GOG. But JFG is not do any of that to be treated and blamed for it. There is a difference in be fanat of store and be lier.

What baffled me was the OP of the boycott. He was so upset with GOG, but had a small number of games from GOG.

To me, that shows he had little investment in GOG. Why did he not leave, and say F them?? Why waste all that energy?

The whole World is a Theatre and we are all actors. (c)

Oh look! How many spam. Spam wave. I know, it is Jordan invades GOG forum! Cause why not him, right? Right.
(no!)

GOG and CDPG. You do a great job. At first when that happen i thought you are wrong closing threads here for other stores. But I'm wrong. You do everything right!
Glory to GOG! And that not sarcasm. Yes there is Galaxy client and related issues. But still there is nothing we can really blame GOG. Except lie, try to gray'ed black and white things (there is never be gray). Same persons who make "GOG and Censority" threads return to spread lie about else stores as well. Gray them in try to pose them as dark things but have no brave to call them dark. Manipulation with lie. Same as they do for you GOG, named you are DRM store. And same as they say complete nonsense and lie about you they do same about other store here. That there is proprietary own variation of Inno Setup not worked on WinXP.

I know you GOG are come and close this thread. I cheer you for that. You do everything right.

Yes. ZP employees and the owner are very open about certain topics on Discord, their Twitter page and even in the news section of their store. LOL.

And right now, I am absolutely not surprised anymore by the Selaco incident caused by users of ZP's Discord channel. LOL.

I don't think so, I think GOG usually just doesn't care enough about what Z-P releases to bother really trying to get, or keep, some titles here, like Vampyre Story.

I'm stating the obvious but remember: you can back up your installers if you're worried about GOG going out of business for one reason or another.

Zoom had lost it when everyone else did. Autumn Moon puhlishes A Vampyre Story itself, now. Strategy First was the original publisher, I think. IIRC, the game became available for sale again, about a week and a half later.

Mr. Freeman said that exclusivity wasn't requested but Mr. Tiller from Autumn Moon liked Zoom's release the most and decided the game should be sold there.

This is a partial quote: "It was delisted everywhere. For what it’s worth, we didn’t request exclusivity either. Mr. Tiller was very kind and complimented us on how our version ran the best. As a thank you for our services, he decided to make us the sole PC distributor. So I guess we should apologize for having a dedication to quality?"

Feel free to check out Zoom's Discord server to read what prompted it.

Ancient-Red-Dragon: For example, the game "A Vampyre Story" used to be listed on GOG, but then it became delisted, and now it is listed as a "Zoom Platform exclusive."
It definitly means they are watching the GOG forum :)

I know however that other stores (*cough* indiegala *cough*) actually gave GOG versions away as freebies.
In a few cases the downloadable zip files contained files that are only to be found in GOG versions.

About A Vampyre Story. The version available on GOG is/was not the original version, it was published under a new label and also got some fixes.
Note that it's also gone from Steam.
My conclusion (educated guess): They have some legal issues and Zoom simply doesn't give a shit.

edit: ah, too late. The previous post says it all.
