There were a couple of batches of games that GOG decided to release, later, that are former Zoom exclusives. They were exclusive for years, before GOG released them. There are at least sixteen games on that list. Does that mean GOG "poached" from Zoom? GOG's said getting Killing Time to work was impossible.
You are partially quoting promotional texts by ZP or what ZP staff including the owner said on their Discord channel. Nothing of what they say is necessarily true. It is part of their aggressive anti-GOG marketing.

Should I stop mentioning GOG at Steam and other places or does it only matter when I want to mention Zoom? I bring up GOG and Zoom when discussing DRM-free, among other stores. You don't seem to have a problem with people here talking about Zoom when they're trying to crap on it. Why is one acceptable but the other isn't? Have you never mentioned another store anywhere else? I also defend GOG when I think someone has falsely accused it of something. Should I stop that? Is defending GOG somewhere else promotional, too?

There is a difference between talking about other stores and advertising other stores. "GOG's said getting Killing Time to work was impossible" is for example quoting ZP's marketing texts. This is Jordan Freeman's personal opinion of what happened. Whether this is actually true is another story.

There are lots of examples in this forum where people simply mentioned that certain games are available somewhere. These posts are usually answers to concrete questions where these games are available to buy. This includes for example games of the Fireflower Games store.

People from ZP's Discord channel (employees and users) have targeted news threads in the past to talk about ZP although nobody asked for it. This includes fake conversations between ZP users and employees here in the GOG forum. As you can see in the Wreckfest thread it is still going on. Even in this thread you can see a ZP employee to post something although I haven't asked for it.

If you mean the post about the release of Wreckfest, I only see Zoom users and not employees. Who is the employee? Why would anyone need your permission to say something about Zoom, anyway? Are you a GOG employee in disguise? :)

In the Wreckfest thread you can see users of ZP's Discord channel artificially bringing it up. In this thread here you can see one ZP employee. You probably have noticed that the Community Manager of ZP had to "correct" Joe Schmoe here after he posted something on ZP's twitter page. LOL.

I'm just curious did you defend GOG on forums or ZP Discord when ZP falsely accused GOG of undercutting them? I actually never seen you defend GOG, just post bad remarks about them.

I've defending GOG on Steam, mainly, but also on Zoom's Discord server. On Steam, when I ask about a DRM-free release at GOG, people usually assume I'm a pirate. I've also defended it on other Discord servers when they tell me to just buy the game(s) in question when they're on sale at Steam instead of pirating them. If people knew how many games I've bought here and from Zoom, they wouldn't call me a pirate. In case you hadn't noticed, I also was against the boycott here. I still am. To me, DRM-free and offline installers are all that matter. I don't need to have everything at one store. I've also mentioned Fireflower, GameFools, Itch, and other places. Am I guilty of promoting DRM-free? I guess you could say so.

How is any of the stuff in the links a fake conversation? They look pretty real to me. Also, some of the "promoted" games were exclusive to Zoom, weren't they? What's the problem, if they can't be bought here? GOG has games flagged here as "Only on GOG". You think that hasn't been pointed out anywhere else?

GOG "promoted" Zoom in one of their FCKDRM tweets. Should GOG ban itself for having done that?

I don't believe Zoom is anti-GOG. It's okay if you believe it is. I'd like for GOG and Zoom to be able to collaborate, since we're all supposed to be on the same side here. Do you think GOG is anti-Zoom? They certainly let you guys talk down about Zoom as much as you want. Oh, wicked, bad, naughty, evil Zoom!

They write something like this

in their news. Note how you say in this thread "GOG's said getting Killing Time to work was impossible." and in the example from above you wrote "I thought Killing Time had been deemed impossible to fix for running on modern computers." It is obvious where you got the idea that GOG deemed something impossible. There are and were also several tweets on their Twitter page which included anti-GOG messages.

I don't think ZP are evil. They are just a shady store and the spam in this forum is part of it.
