Cavalary: That's rather troubling. But I guess the difference between other discussions about stores and this case is that it's not GOG users discussing other stores but the official representatives of another store presenting what you do and don't offer. So I can see where it's coming from, but it doesn't mean I like it. And the whole point of having the discussion here I'd say is to address those (like me) who don't go to your channels, since those who do, like Time4Tea, already know what you're saying.
Honestly the only thing surprising is that it didn't happen earlier; As you said there is a difference between Gog users talking about others stores (and even for that some other stores are not as lenient) and official representative from another store posting here.

I suspect that if Gog mods or representative went to the Zoom discord and started posting about Gog new games releases or advertising for Gog they would end up with the same kind of warning if not outright banned.

This thread needs a pick me up.....but how, and with what? I know, perhaps a quick musical interlude is in order:

Hey.....Jennys.....leave them Zooms alone!

Next thing you know you got paid users. Let the free market be free. Then again, Zoom could just sue gog for libel when it's clearly demonstrating it has the ability to edit posts and has the willingness to do so. I made this suggestion to a dev, recently.

EDIT: TO be clear, this would have to be in response to a user posting a demonstrable falsehood about Zoom.

Say, would that by any chance include all the posts by naysayers inferring/implying in zoom threads that zoom is selling illegal game copies?

Absolutely. Specifically those posts would be the best avenue, because that's actionable, unlike something like "gog has better discounts" or something like that.

Interesting. So then, for example: would you say that stuff like what's said in Posts 4 and 9 in this very thread might count as such?

4's plausible deniability, but 9 removes all doubt. Of course, the user could also be under threat for legal action, as well, and more easily so, but GOG in particular would be a more lucrative target by threatening (if it were property this would be extortion, but a post is not property), demonstrating control, but refusing to remove a falsehood. Thus GOG would be attempting to use it's userbase to attack a competitor and get away with libel. Your average judge would likely side with Zoom on this one.

So you're going to be able to answer more questions and maybe even provide us with more fine artwork along the way? :D :D :D

Your name wouldn't happen to be Lionel Hutz, by any chance, would it? ;)

Had to look that up. Didn't watch enough simpsons, unfortunately. I'm not sure why all the actual lawyers drop that line, too, but they do, so i learned that there are some things you do if the expert does it, no matter how kooky they are any other time.

One more song in honor of the "new up and comer" in the DRM-free arena:

Zoom gonna bring DRM-free to ya

That's a good one. It'll be a blue moon when GOG representatives engage with users on their own site, let alone somebody else's ...

Actually, there are one or two "newish" staffers who do engage(and very politely/helpfully) with users as of late. The rest, however....

You mean Karen and Karen? If so, they've been active for a while, but we normally don't notice them, 'cause, well, who really notices them if they aren't privately messaging you sweet nothings, like how they don't like you calling terrorists terrorists?

Just to be clear, there's no need to mention any Judge Judy (or Judge Dredd i guess) stuff :P If anything, just demand a CTF tournament or rap battle and even then it's a spot of fun!

What about a rap battle while playing CTF? o.0
Btw, i'm calling it now: Zoom's first self-published game (if any) will be a cross between Halo and Parappa the Rapper ;D
