Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind ;)

If you’re relying on InnoSetup (Windows) and .tar.gz (Linux), it should be almost trivial to add support for a couple Zoom installers, probably starting with some free games. I’ll get in touch if it proves more complex than expected.

SlackR84: Get in touch with what options actually are available, I will see what is possible.
Actually available... how? For me? Stick firmly to cash, and won't make an account on some e-payment processor, so the option for digital purchases is something I can just buy in small amounts and then use for the purchases. PSC fits that bill, it's available at payment machines in shopping centers, all sorts of stores, metro stations or even just on the street, select one of the available amounts, put in the money, get the code, then have 6 months (used to be a year) to use it. It's the only way I ever purchased on GOG. And when I stumbled upon something as niche as Aldorlea Games quite a long time ago and saw that they also supported it (not that I got anything, but just happened to see the option, and it still shows up now), struck me as something that couldn't be that terribly hard to support. Maybe it got worse more recently, just like they also worsened the conditions for the users?
And then, of course, Steam have their own prepaid cards (not that I ever used them, DRMed place, won't even have an account, but saw them in stores). But that's about it, not aware of any other option, so let me know if you know of any that's also readily available over here.

Are there any other prepaid card type things you can use? as mentioned PSC is just too expensive to be able to offer. The site is built in a way that we can offer any number of different payment options, they just need to make sense financially unfortunately.

SlackR84: PSC has transaction fees of 10-15% dependant on volume and they want a huge deposit as its used for fraud so much. So it isn't an option.
How is it used for fraud when someone already has paid for it.
Bought with stolen credit cards, etc.

Money spent on PSC, claimed back by credit card company, PSC want their money back and the large deposit ensures they get it.

We looked at it, it wasn't viable. If it was we would have added it.

Considering the site's never been huge, I have to say this - That name simply must go.

Any search engine is now going to bring up the Zoom teleconferencing platform when someone searches "Zoom."

Also, any luck getting some other, more out-of-the-norm people? Piko Interactive and Retroism would be nice additions.

You trying to tell me Calvin Tucker's Farm Animal Racing is not out of the norm for you enough already?!

As I said, not that I'm aware of. The list of what those machines offer under that category is over here.

Another good reason to stick to cash...

Zoom platform is pretty good, but just zoom - yeah, no chance.

We know though.
Unfortunately, we've been threatened with a ban for advertising.

We were happy to reply to question and shoot down a large amount of misinformation that was posted.

''While it's fine to talk about a game, and why you don't want to buy from said developer or publisher anymore. Please keep in mind to prove your information if you really want to inform users about something, as it can turn into a big back and forth like this thread'' - as Per the mod team

Admittedly, we are saddened to see that the COC did not apply here in this thread, we were forced to step in but we thank you for your time and attention. Hopefully, we halted some of the confusion.

We've been oddly told we can direct you to our socials and Discord but this, by proxy, is advertising so we're not sure what we can and can not do!

*update - after further comms, If any future posts do contain misinformation, we're confident the mod team will do their best to step in :)

Linko64: Unfortunately, we've been threatened with a ban for 'advertising'.
Threatening a ban for discussing another DRM-free site and trying to address unfounded rumors/FUD is disappointing.

There are many threads on here discussing other DRM-free stores, Steam, Epic, etc.

Besides, if the GOG mods intend to be fair/balanced, then if they are going to shut people down for 'promoting' other stores, I hope they will also step in to shut down discussions where people are spreading FUD about those stores.

That's rather troubling. But I guess the difference between other discussions about stores and this case is that it's not GOG users discussing other stores but the official representatives of another store presenting what you do and don't offer. So I can see where it's coming from, but it doesn't mean I like it. And the whole point of having the discussion here I'd say is to address those (like me) who don't go to your channels, since those who do, like Time4Tea, already know what you're saying.

Another thing, though. For some reason, you have Bloodrayne, A Boy and His Blob, and Advent Rising listed as being published by Majesco, when they're now being published by Ziggaraut. Might wanna iron that out.

Yeah, heaven forbid you question the Karens running the show, here. Seems like that evreywhere, but it's gotten worse as of late, here.

Cavalary: Though they do need payment methods for those who don't have or don't want to use cards or accounts (what I call two steps from cash methods, you buy something with cash, either the store's own prepaid cards or Paysafecard, or some other similar thing, though I'm not aware of one around here, and then use it to make the purchase), and sales (maybe not at the level of competing with others but at the very least at GOG's original level of 50% off just about all the catalog twice per year, at least a game per week at ~60% off and some occasional others), and definitely a better site (but preferably not a "modern" one - a very functional but old-looking one would even fit them).
Agreed on all points, thanks for the info on JFG, and also well said(this entire post).

Linko64: In that case, have another!
I think you missed an opportunity here, though: saying "COME GET SOME classic and new games" (with the words come get some in big red letters, maybe) would've fit better with the image of Duke Nukem, I think. :)

Simple: If you're not breaking the COC when making a post than it's OK :)
