Just checked their Strategy section. Found this game, Freight Tycoon, Inc, which looks interesting and is not available in GOG.

According to their list of already available and upcoming games, it seems that they are on good terms with 1C. Maybe Zoom Platform will be able to get Hammer & Sickle from them, because GOG can't (or don't want) to do it for a very long time.

Can someone ask them about this game on Discord? Grandpa doesn't have Discord. :D
Wow. They are still selling "Duke Nukem" series from 3D Realms, which they are not allowed anymore. The Duke IP-series went to i.... Randy Pitchford, so they all had to be pulled worldwide. That raises a LOT of red flags for me.

Lord_Kane: I will suggest Grimoire!
Noice! Thanks!

Lord_Kane: but detention I need more info on.
Absolutely terrific point&click! Unique visual style, amazing atmosphere, wonderful story, deals with srs issues without being preachy. Overwhelmingly positive on Steam (and deservedly so, for a change).

According to chats on discord, their contract that pre-dates the gearbox thing says differently. They also have involvement with Scott Miller.

Maybe something to leave to the people involved as I suspect neither of us are lawyers.

And the fact that they are still selling Racedriver GRID? They must be filthy rich to purchase so many car licences or maybe Zoom platform own the VW group that owns most car brands anyways ;). Cheers

They actually have a perpetual agreement to sell duke nukem that was made before the IP rights transferred to randy, and randy has to honor it from what I can find out about it. GOG and Steam never signed such an agreement. But it only applies to Duke3D atomic and DN I and II, they cannot sell any duke nukem game that gearbox or 2k publish so no world tour (I know there are people like that) or DNF or any future DN title that gets done (if any)

nightcraw1er.488: So how long before the Zoom Platform gets a completely optional client there, there are loads of hipsters raring to move over to the new “it is steam but not called steam” thing.
To be fair, a few sites/storefronts didn't add clients(afaik)...like Gamersgate(though they have that installer thing to get your files initially, that you can toss once you have said files).

That said, many businesses sadly succumb to temptation and greed over time, but for the time being I am willing to give them a chance to prove themselves in various aspects and "arenas".....and since a good number of businesses start out well enough, we will likely at least have a few good years from them.

ALSO added a suggestion re: clients to the list I made on page 5(several posts back from this post)...thanks for reminding me to add that. :)

I think various IP holders know about the site(or people told them about it for various reasons), so I would assume they know about the games being there....and if they haven't taken action then it must be above board(of course there is a tiny chance I could be wrong).

As others and I have said, they likely have an agreement to do so.....and most IP holders likely(in one way or another) know about the site already and what games are there....so they'd likely be clamoring with legal action if there was anything amiss.

(especially car IP owners)

Sorry for that, it's just I read and reply normally in order of post numbering, and don't often read ahead(I noticed this one, though).

Maybe copy the text in post 87 and submit it to the discord or someone who works there? Those are some of the biggest issues(that I can think of atm...poor memory being what it is) and problems with GOG atm, and the suggestions(if taken) might lure more people to the new upcoming site/forums.

Lol, well it likely would be if my memory was better and I could remember to focus on such things and check into them. :D o.0

(I think I even learned about zoom years ago and forgot to look into them due to poor memory)
