Hi ponczo_. I don't see where I have gone off-topic in this thread (this thread is about Zoom Platform). However, I will refrain from joining wolfsite and foad in continuing to derail the other one (about games at risk of being de-listed from GOG).

This is very sad, to hear that the EA/Codemasters games that are on Zoom are at risk of being de-listed. It might be a good idea for anyone that wants these games to stay DRM-free to put pressure on EA in any way they can.

Damn, I really want that Codemasters Cartoon Collection! I love Dizzy. Don't do it, EA! :-(

My sentiments exactly. But that does not bode well for a company wishing/wanting to grow its user base. Unless that's the kind of customer base they are touting for, Whiney, childish etc...

At that point it should be stop. Lie become insulting ZOOM for no reason (which one older EA games are released on Steam? i mean really EA and not buy IP, like Overlord, not a big differences, but im too old and by older i mean older - like Theme series). Steam always have less old games and always from GOG and\or ZOOM (including they files). Steam is not a DRM-free and worst of delivery systems every exist.

So where it is a childish? It is buisness. They do what the can, reduce prices. And always try to contact Ip owner to make game stay on sale. While GOG absolutely dont care and become almost like a Valve. Ofc not, but there is similaries. GOG dont care what publishers want to do with realses, which one games bring here and which ones remove. Provide more and more freedom to publishers.

So what wrong with ZOOM attitude? Where is in statements something AGAINST GOG? Where you find that in a statements? It is comment about hard work to contact companies and some personal right owners (Jordan Freeman try to stay in touch with everyones involved in original game and degital re-\releases), and that can be lost anyway jsut for one person. There is neutral comment about GOG.
Im here blame GOG. ZOOM did not that in s statements. it is looks like fanboism and deliberate lies.

Jordan Freeman dont like GOG, as it can been seen after GOG's release of Killing Time. But it never be insult to GOG from ZOOM. He ask not mention ZOOM on Killing Time storefront and on GOG's FCKDRM website (now defunct). Not sure if even that can be called 'childish' (removing free adverts for ZOOM from FCKDRM). But blame them for it - it is a childish. Freeman personally dont like GOG - and it is his right. Until he start to blame GOG's publicy and for wrong\fake reasons.

Zoom Platform mocked and denigrated GOG some time ago, claiming that Zoom Platform was the first one to have a specific game be DRM-free, and implying that GOG was riding on their (Zoom Platform's) coattails and unjustly co-opting the game by releasing it on GOG.

I am paraphrasing from memory, but I'm sure someone who is more familiar with the matter can pull up the exact quotation verbatim of what I'm talking about.

EDIT: after making this post, I read the earlier recent posts in this thread, and found this quotation from a Zoom Platform spokesman:

...which also indicates the same kind of hostile attitude from Zoom Platform towards GOG.

I've never bought anything on your Zoom Platform store for two primary reasons:

1. your selection of games is way too small and

2. your prices of your games is way too high.

If your "justification" for your high prices is your great customer service, then I'd prefer instead that you degrade your customer service down to very crappy levels, and decrease your prices on your games accordingly.

In other words, I'd strongly prefer crappy customer service coupled with low-priced games, rather than great customer service coupled with high-priced games.

If you switch to the former, then I'd probably buy from Zoom Platform sometimes. But if you stick to the latter, then I probably will continue never to buy from Zoom Platform. And I expect many other gamers would feel & do likewise.

Not gonna lie, the butthurt and salt generated by the incredibly petty gog V Zoom infights is my main source of forum-related entertainment these days. Keep it up, folks! :D

Just go on Zoom discord to see statements against GOG. The CEO has said GOG is cherry picking Zoom category, with other statements. Now he's blaming GOG for releasing old games years after them and putting them on sale. Seriously???

What about the games GOG had before Zoom, like Daymare or Flatout? Can't GOG say Zoom doing the same thing?

I would hang out on their discord until every other day, they would bring up GOG and bad talk. GOG would be releasing new games while Zoom was too busy hating on GOG. It was off-putting. This is coming from a guy that has about 50 games from them. Zoom's biggest threat is not GOG but Zoom itself.

Same I bought all the 1c games from Gamersgate years ago.. At the time most were DRM free on GG.
