Strijkbout: Like I already posted earlier, nothing magical is going on. When it was announced Grid licence would expire Zoom just bought a shitload of unused keys themselves. Since they already had the licence to sell the game they're legally allowed to sell their stock until they run out of keys, same with Duke Nukem 3D. Mastertronic used a similar practice in the physical media era hence you could still buy fresh copies of Grand Prix Legends, Richard Burns Rally and a few other collectible titles long after they were out of print.
All things considered this is a very smart thing to do and I'm not sure why nobody else does it.
This is 100% incorrect and isn't what happened at all.
WinterSnowfall: Well, at least now we know Zoom does not posses any magic licensing wands (as some people claimed) and are as susceptible to expiring deals/license contracts as any other company out there, present game store included. Which means they are a legitimate business operating within the confines of the gaming industry - hope that settles some conspiracy theories at least.
I haven't exactly kept up to date with everything, but I believe this is the first delisting on the store, am I right?
The issue was, they wanted to force us to increase costs. We didn't want to do that, so it was given away for free and then taken down.
