Time4Tea: Is it written for Windows or is it cross-platform? I'm not a Windows user, I use Linux.
All my programs are created with AutoIt, which is Windows only ... sorry.

Some simple enough AutoIt scripts can run okay in Wine ... not sure about this one.

Yeah, I saw the update mentioned on the NEWS page.

For what it's worth, I have updated my ZOOM Checker program, to more easily view or obtain a text copy of what has been added or removed.

FYI: Alekhine's Gun, the third game in the Death to Spies series, just released on Zoom Platform.

The game doesn't seem to be available on GOG.

That's really odd, it's published by 1C Software. If they placed that game on Zoom Platform it's safe to assume they tried to offer it on GOG as well. The GOG Curation Team is a great mystery. However I can't deny the possibility that they decided to ignore GOG for some reason.

Who knows? Interestingly, Zoom Platform don't seem to have the second game, but GOG does. Hopefully Zoom will add it soon.

I don't think it safe to assume at all, but like you later say, the provider may have decided to avoid GOG.

Another possibility, is that the ZOOM Platform got an exclusive deal for now.

Or maybe it is coming to GOG, but delayed for some reason, i.e. backlog.

Whether a game comes to GOG or not, would be based on more than just curation ... all about the deal, etc.

Zoom might have been nice and smiled at them ;)

"We could give you some cool copy but we shall instead say...
Alekhine's Gun, on Zoom (no, not that one) is the ONLY PLACE TO GET IT DRM-FREE.
There you go."

1C has at least a few other games even higher on the community wishlist that aren't on GOG (like 7.62 High Calibre), so maybe GOG snubbed them or GOG is just currently too busy with other things. (I think it's worth reminding the blues and Support occasionally about specific games people want here, I wouldn't be surprised if things slip through the cracks.)

But in any case, to me this seems a good move: release decent games that GOG rejected and siphon off some of the DRM-free base from here. though they pussed out of Devotion like GOG did.

I believe zoom platform didn't puss out, they are still planning to talk with the publishers.

It's not really odd if it has a Metacritic rating of 40 (n=12). Doesn't seem camp enough either to be ironically good.
