Judicat0r: Just out of curiosity: do they do giveaways?
avatar
Dogmaus: AFAIK they don't even do sales. All the freebies they currently have are the ones I have listed above, when I'm not mistaken.
avatar
Vythonaut: As far as PS games go, Alien Trilogy along with Doom, Disruptor & Exhumed were my favourites.
avatar
Dogmaus: Not a bad PS1 title at all, great atmosphear, but I don't feel the need for a pc version here.
Thanks.

GlorFindel: I bought one game there; KGB (Conspiracy) and it works DRM-Free of course.
Are all of their games DRM-free? The whole store?

avatar
Cavalary: no PSC added to payment methods... And it won't be added.
That is really bad! I will not use Paypal and paying with credit card is too expensive for me. :(

I cannot find any information about DRM and payment methods on their web site. Do you have to be registered to get that information?

avatar
GlorFindel: I wish they stay as barebone as possible, that way there is no way they will soon start some client and other $hit GOG is doing nowadays!
Hopefully they will, at least for a few years. A pre-Galaxy GOG...
But without a proper payment method they are no option for me, unfortunately.

Yes the whole store is 100% DRM-Free; just download and install and keep the installer of course. Pre-Galaxy GOG for sure.
Unfortunately, only paying option at the moment is PayPal!

They told me to check Discord too. Nope, not happening. Don't even do that for sites I use frequently.

Yes, DRM free is a firm promise. But who knows what the future will bring, usually not good things...
They also said there won't be regional pricing, but who knows about that either.

Don't think there's much of anything on the site now...

That'd be my hope too. But same thing, without a payment method I can use, it'd be of no use personally...

For a second I was pretty hyped when I saw the new layout. Until I realized its just visual. Still no sorting by release date; no screenshots. It feels pretty much the same as before just a tad prettier. If it had lots of bugs and unregulated gambling you would think its an EA Sports game.

Zoom's website was recently updated, by the way.
Oh, the version of Postal 2 they got plastered all over the front page dates all the way back to 2014...

"Games that treat Zoom customers as 3rd class citizens"-mix incoming?

The "new" layout is not final, it's more of a placeholder and foundation for the final one eventually. I expect the sorting by release date in the final layout too and the eventual forum.
They are selling Unrest: Special Edition, but the fact that it is published by Kiss is suspicious, specially since they are no longer distributing it on Steam and GOG and that the developer has openly criticized them.

There is:

Debit/Credit Card (via stripe)
PayPal

Seem to be seeking alternatives, as PaySafeCard wanted high fees and deposits etc, which no one else wants - so was deemed a non starter.

Oh, sorry! Didn't see that, as I bought this game a couple of months ago and then only PayPal was available!

That's really bad, I'm thinking of informing the dev as they might not be aware? I bought Unrest here on GOG and it sucks to know that probably the dev didn't get my beer money. In general Zoom seems pretty careless when it comes to licences.

If that was true, they would have a lot more games.

Or they simply forgot to update the game page.

GOG has hundreds of game pages with incorrect information. I don't think they're unique in that respect. Zoom certainly looks like a website that isn't being maintained that thoroughly (although looks can deceive).

I would imagine its exactly the same as described in this post: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/zoom_platform/post137
