My spoken English is quite bad, no comparison to my writing, reading and listening comprehesion. I'd probably not apologize for it directly, but it's perfectly possible that I'd bring up how embarrassed I am about that. So in that regard I'm not at all different from other Germans. XD

The irony is that most of the people in here who claim their English isn't very good still speak it WAAAAAY better than the majority of the assholes in the States who bitch and yell at people because they don't speak English. :P

What makes me different is that I prefer soccer over football, I find that NASCAR is boring as hell to watch, American beer tastes like horse piss (this is from an Irish drinking song), I prefer the dark beer (the darker the better). And I do not like to drink until I black out because of the amount of alcohol I had consumed.

Or are you referring to the folks like yourself, who I think speak REALLY REALLY good English, along with 99% of the rest of the forum. I'm actually amazed when someone apologizes about how bad their English is and here I am scanning their posts looking for mistakes, unable to find any. :P

If speaking is the same to you as writing, maybe you should try to have a conversation in RL for a change, not just hang out on the GOG forums all day. ;)

I'm not fishing for compliments, I know my written English is fine. What am saying is that my accent sucks and that I don't find the words nearly as easily when I need to say them out loud and within a certain time window. It's still not totally bad. But considerably worse than what you'd expect from reading my posts.
