Mass Effect because I played it for the first time ever this year. I really enjoyed it. ME2 not so much, but ME3 was pretty awesome.

But for games released this year, Pillars of Eternity. I have not yet played Witcher 3.

Uugh - you point me to shock of "nuthin original" - lest "Cities - Skylines." Was this 2015?

The Witcher 3 I am boycotting obviously for the moment.

But... Numenara or "near future Torment" - I really hope this wil make for a better New Year for us RPG fanciers! :-D

Havn't played many 2015 games but, Hotline Miami Wrong Number without much doubt.

Matewis: Wow ok, that does indeed seem like a bit much :P I really miss the days of single expansion packs. Tell me though, these DLCs, do they add content at the end of ME2's storyline, or does it fit content into the middle of the storyline so speak? Or perhaps both?

I don't own ME3 yet, but my ME2 is on steam.
Two or three additional things about Mass Effect, Origin and the DLC ;)

You can activate your Steam copies of Mass Effect 1 and 2 on Origin! Just get the product keys from your Steam library and redeem them on Origin. Origin isn't that bad... It's another useless client, but it's less annoying than Steam. I have an Origin account just because of Mass Effect ;)

And listen to Elmofongo! You do want to get the story DLC of the Mass Effect games! Especially Lair of the Shadow Broker, because Mass Effect 2 feels incomplete without it. When you meet Liara in the game, she'll tell you that she has some problems. Without Lair of the Shadow Broker, the "story" ends there. You can't even offer to help her. You need the DLC to do that. I know, this sucks, but... The DLC are worth it. They're pretty good. Get them on a sale (you can buy them without BioWare Points now). Most DLC are playable whenever you want to play them.

i play just old games but about witcher i would hate that its not possible to play with character race and origin, visual appearance, to set name and such rpg-ish matters

Last few faves of mine...

2012 - Crusader Kings 2.
2013 - Civil War II.
2014 - Toss up between Banner Saga and Banished.
2015 - GTA V... or Doom. We finally have Doom in all its greatness in DRM-free form. Throw in some mods and tweaks and it's just as fun as it was 20 years ago.

Awesome thanks! I didn't know that you could do that, and now I'll definitely try to get my hands on all story DLCs :)

You can redeem all your Steam-EA games (and retail EA games) on Origin. Some of them with the key from your Steam library, some of them with a key pulled from your computer's registry, some of them via an EA site for old keys and some with the help of EA's support. For a client based DRM system, it's pretty customer friendly.

Cool stuff. Does origin also have pause capable downloading like in Steam though? With my pretty crappy connection, it's virtually impossible to download any large games in one go
