So, now that it's after Christmas, what is your game of the year? Just type it down, maybe with a short reason.

ADOM

Yes, I'm aware it's been around forever (1994) but it got an HD re-release with lots of additions and tweaks that make it an awesome(r) experience.

I played a lot of good games from this year and past years in 2015, but i'll have to go with Pillars of Eternity.

It felt like an excellent meld of classic cRPG with more modern and unique mechanics / classes. The way the story unfolds and the sheer amount of text makes it a little hard to get into, but it's pretty good once you do. It also keeps getting better, The White March was excellent and the next part + 3.0 patch sounds even better.

Looks like a nice and interesting roguelike. :)
The Witcher 3. Awesome storytelling, gameplay, graphics, the whole package. A close runner up Pillars of Eternity. I loved the base game, but i still haven't made up my mind about The White March, after completing the game i didn't felt continuing. Maybe after P2 is out.

Yeah, same here, The Witcher 3.
Havent played enough game this year to choose my GoTY.
Still waiting to finish some backlog before buying AC:Syndicate/PoE/TW3.

If i had to, id choose This War Of Mine.
Warts and all, Fallout 4.
Phew, 2015 resulted in a long list of finished games so the choice is hard.

My favourites this year are Tiny & Big: Grandpa's Leftovers, Dust: An Elysian Tail, Hotline Miami, Teslagrad, Shadow Warrior 2013 and Limbo.

If I have to, I'll choose:
Teslagrad
The Witcher 3, even with all the bugs (and they were many) it's the only one that i can say that it was memorable, mediocre gameplay but amazing story, music and visuals, looking foward to playing the expansions (when they get some sale, CDPR still deserves shit for the broken game that they released).

But i have to say that i didn't play some of the top contenders like Pillars of Eternity, Divinity OS, Wasteland, Underrail, etc.
I'd have to say Mass Effect 1, which I got to play for the first time this year.
Two game have to share that spot, the first one I bought at the start of the year and the second I bought a couple weeks ago.
Dragon Age: Inquisition and The Witcher 3 are my games of the year. :D

EDIT: Just had to add Devil May Cry 4 SE. ^^

On PC did you play Mass Effect?
This one. Most fantastic thing I've ever seen in my life. This author is a genius.
