Hitman Contracts

The Horde, such an addictive fun game. Things can get hectic during the action phase when the monsters invade your village and eat your cows and villagers but it's such an original genre mix that I recommend checking it out for the novelty factor alone. Played the demo about a gazillion times. Sadly, the game has sunken into obscurity but at least we have a wishlist entry here:

Fallout

About two years ago I created a 'trying to remember a game' thread to find a mystery game which turned out to be 'The Horde'. The game was featured on a local tv channel, which showed the intro and a bit of gameplay. Luckily my recollection of the king choking on a piece of food, and then being rescued by the game protagonist during the intro pretty much immediately led to Horde being sugggested.

It's a really fun concept, but the akward controls threw me off a bit :P Also, what the hell is mr Crocoduck doing in the game? :)

P.T., if only because it makes the dream of a Hideo Kojima directed Silent Hill game that much of a painful loss.

Because the game is NOTHING like the demo!

Just a crappy RTS with a go nowhere story. I mean how could Tim fuck it up so bad. It didn't even have a proper map system. That and Ronnie James Dio got left out of the VO cast.

Alone in the dark was less of a disappointment than this.

I didn't even get a chance to play it (no PS4). They even rubbed it in further when they delisted the demo.

Fuck Konami.
Alas I own no togue. A shame to my country.

The first Call of Duty. I played that demo level so much I got it down memorized, I could still beat it practically blindfolded.

Halo - people played it more then the full game in pc

Sad to hear that. I bought in in the last Steam sale and yet to play it, but for 1.5$ it can't be that bad.

For a buck and a half it should equate to 35$ of dissapointment.

Eating your cows while you're on the other side of the town. I didn't mind the controls all too much, the only thing that really annoyed me is when you get caught in hit recovery lock. And those ever increasing taxes, always aggravating when you want to buy upgrades and stuff but instead you have to fork over the dough to the kingdom, or more appropriately to the evil chancellor who if I remember correctly is skimming off the top.

The early to mid 90s are 80s cheese & corniness plus an extra portion of whimsical dorkiness so it fits perfectly. The hordling on the cover still looks more intimidating than the demons on the Doom cover though.
