...you have the opportunity and means to play lots of new shiny games, but oftentimes prefer the old over the new.
I.E. You can't believe how giddy I was to find that Dungeon Keeper 2 actually works splendidly now with GOG's HW patch on my Win 8.1 lappie - no crash yet after six/seven levels *knocks on wood* - and a well-running software mode for Populous: The Beginning with just a little tweak; namely, disabling compatibility mode. Who'd a thunk? Both of those are notorious for being hit or miss on anything above XP.
Yeah, finding out I could finally properly play those had me way more excited than any new game release ever could. :) That said, they almost are like new games to me as I've only had a slight brush with either in the past.
skeletonbow: ... you have a PC that is not capable of running The Witcher 3 when it comes out even if you just spent $3000 yesterday to build a new PC. :)
o.O Now that'd take some seriously ill-informed shopping research. Hell I could buy a custom-built PC from the likes of Falcon Northwest that even surpasses the recommended specs with that kind of money, and those things don't exactly come cheap either.
