snowkatt: analouge control
competent 3D controls and camera
depth and a solid world

mario 64 in other words

it was a game changer when nintendo still had its head screwed on

sure there were 3D games before mario 64 but none of them were as competent as mario 64
most were of bubsy 3D level
and just look at that monstrosity

it was even released in the same damn year as mario 64

cd consoles with 650 mb of space and the speed and horse power to push polygones around also helped a lot
( ie the ps 1 )
the N64 had horrible Textures.

Yeah, too bad that the swallowed Interplay whole...
At least I've got several versions of Fallout 1+2+Tactics, German CD version, English DVD version, English GoG versions, all HD, no pirate copies, no Steam, no "Bethesda" written all over it.

Where does Firefox tell you how often you visited a site? Never seen this before!

Ah, thanks! So I visited gog 8825 times!
. . . . you wonder why the newest games are dumbed down compared to games sold over ten years ago.

skeletonbow: I must have seen your nick a thousand times spread out over time and it never even dawned on me until now the idea of mixing lemon with curry powder sounds terrible! LOL But then... shit, I just realized that I make a soup that has lemon in it with curry powder so maybe not! (Harira)
It needs more spam.

skeletonbow: I have no idea what made me think of that just now but I had to say it as it made me laugh. :)
Lemon curry?!

You're welcome. ;)
