Not in, but thank you for one more iteration of this old classic giveaway.

As for a classic game, for me nothing tops the memory of the SSI gold boxes (which we got on GOG this past year), although I am aware that there are rose-tinted glasses involved.

Celton88: I love these :)
LOL I came here to post just this! Thank you so much Doc for continuing with these!

My favorite classic game is probably... hmm...

The first one that jumps to mind is XCOM. There's just so much to do and every bit of it is excellent.

But I have to be honest here the first came I really, completely and totally fell in love with was TIE Fighter. I was (who am I kidding, still am) a total Star Wars geek and from the moment of the opening crawl I was hopelessly hooked. And that was BEFORE I even "stepped into" the cockpit of a freaking TIE Fighter and started buzzing around in the void doing flybys of Star Destroyers and locking onto the tail of X-Wings. Privateer was good too - something about wandering the galaxy in my beat up old freighter, dumping my cargo when the system police announced a scan and dodging pirates on the way to the next jump was great. I felt like Han Solo ;) But when it comes down to it I think I have to go with TIE Fighter, and it probably isn't even really close.
Not in, but heck, classic but simple the old PGA Tour Golf on the Sega Genesis. Account for the wind, hit the line in the middle. Read some greens and try to beat your friends. Good times...

Cheers for another iteration of the wonderful GA of Trust, Doc0075, +1!

My favourite classic game is Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. It was my very first video game, and it was love at first sight. It felt like I was part of one of my favourite characters' adventure - it was that true to the character and the humour.

I won't go into more details as to not sound like a broken record (I've said many times why it's special). *cracks whip*

Not in. Thank you very much for youe genreosity, +1.
+1 for the GA.

Pondered whether to break my acquisition ban, but considering I've been really tempted to buy it this sale, I'll go ahead and go in for Lego Batman : Videogame, the

As for classic games, I'll go with the one I'm playing currently (and loved way back in the summer of...1993?):World of Xeen. Classic M&M gameplay, with improved quest logs that save a fair amount of the necessary note-taking, open-world while finally feeling like it also gives some direction for those who want it.

There are a few minor quibbles about things that were better in its predecessor, on the whole, it's probably the 2nd or 3rd best game in and of itself in the series.

[edit - on second thought, I'll defer my bid to the other 2 entrants. Not in after all ;) ]

Guys, I think the scammers are here. I'm seeing reputable people being low rated, and my rep has dropped a bit since arriving in this area.

Say, how did you get so high rated just for saying thanks? AND with a typo?

Edit: WHOA, now! A couple minutes after calling him out, and my rep falls about 6 points? I smell a rat.

Your rep fell six because of NES. I don;t know if he is one of the alts, I doubt it, but all of us just took a hit. Looks like you made his shit list.

Ah, how lovely. I always wanted to be on a list.
...maybe not this particular list, but whatever. I refuse to take things seriously anyways.
I think this guy could very well be an alt account, though. A search of his username brings up naught but giveaways. He never participates, sure, but why is it that he only ventures into those areas, and never saying more than "not in, +1"? Could be trying to "build up" a "good" reputation before scamming. Also doesn't explain why his "not in" post got so high rated so quickly.

I'm looking into, but lets not derail this GA anymore. It's actually been a very nice one and a nice addition to the forum.

Alright, I'll lay low. We need to keep an eye or two on this guy, though.

I´m also surprise for the increase in my rep. About what happen with yours, i have no idea. All i can do is give you a +1, sorry. My participation in giveaways is just for trying to keep motivating the people that creates them.

Alright then, carry on. To be fair, you've never asked for anything (from what I've seen). Just know that if you ever do, you're gonna need to have meaningful participation in other threads as well.

The thing is i don´t find many threads interesting for me. Is rare i post more than once. Every day i search all the threads until one day of antiquity. Even so, i try to participate.
