If the gameplay is solid, why not? I mean, aren't video games about doing things you can't or wouldn't in real life? Life being an animal, caring for it's kids (Shelter), being a hitman (surprisingly: Hitman) or a soldier in a war (not CoD, rather Operation Flashpoint)? Or a plumber with a hate for half-sentient mushrooms? Or a god? Or a wind? Or evolution?

its hilarious ( and disturbing) to see rayne chop her enemies up and watch the pats fly in slow motion before they even respond to the injury

Hmm, if I wanted to be a time traveller, I'd go with Imperium Romanum a rare pearl of point'n'click adventures that is in not many collections but mine and should really enter GoG.

The bullet time button in Max Payne is a good start, I'd like to make things wither, harden, slow down, speed up, etc... being able to throw different characters through time myself like in "Day of the Tentacle" but more as a metaphysical being would be great too.

I loved that aspect in Braid, haven't played Sands of Time yet, but in all those games you play characters manipulating the world and time, I want to be time manipulating the world and characters.

Hmm.... there is a game where you manipulate fates of whole civilizations, but I can't recall the name.

Other than that. "Being" time is boring, no? Very linear. You could probably play Call of Duty and and have more variety.
