Pardinuz: Congrats on your awesome progress, Xyem! Keep it up! :)
If you want to speed up your progress here's a couple tips that worked for me and others I've helped:
The caloric density of what you eat matters more than how much you eat. That means choosing the right foods that allow you to eat as much as you want without restricting yourself is key to long-term weight loss.
These are fiber rich and nutrient rich whole foods such as vegetables, whole grain rice/pasta/bread, potatoes, legumes, fruits, etc. Fiber rich foods fill up your stomach faster and complex carbohydrates make you feel satiated longer.
I'm sure you've realized by now that skipping dessert is not sustainable in the long term for you. The solution is to eat a healthy apple strudel instead of the store bought one. If you eat one made of oats, apple, and dates instead of refined flower, refined sugar, refined oil/eggs/butter, you'll be eating less than half the calories and stay happily on your path towards long term weight loss. Same applies for many other foods, instead of french fries try oven baked "fries" with no oil, whole grain rice instead of white rice, etc. (btw, sweet potatoes are amazing). Removing refined carbs and oil and introducing more vegetables, legumes, whole carbs and fruits will make a huge difference in your weight loss journey and you won't even need exercise.
Good luck in reaching your goal, and if you ever need help, I'll be happy to.
Thks 4 the tips although they r not directed 2 me, will keep these in mind when i eat in future. Think wat i shd be be doing is eat more healthy filling food instead of just trying 2 resist the urge 2 eat junk food (which is 1 hell of a tough thing 4 me 2 do anyway). Oh, that plus more consistent exercise i thnk, haha.
So far it seems Xyem's making all the progess while my scales hv barely dipped aft over 6mths of exercise. Ok, granted my exercise aren't enough yet & neither hv my diet changed too drastically but here's still wishing Xyem as well myself more progress on our weight loss journey. :)
