Fenixp: *evil*
Bah, you just made me buy it.
I was able to get it for 4 pounds so... pretty good deal.

Vitek: I thought it mostly adds new things instead of changing existing ones?
More adding than changing, I think you're right, but some changing as well. The expansion really did feel like a different game, especially if you hunkered down with the Long War mod. It's a good buy (the EW expansion) if you've already got the base game.
EDIT: and I should have looked at the next page before this comment, oughtn't I?

Fever_Discordia: 2? TWO? They mean FIVE at least, surely?

Almost as bad as when people call Prince of Persia (2008) 'Prince of Persia 4' Gak!

skeletonbow: The last game - X-COM: Enemy Unknown - is considered a franchise reboot, so the next game would be presumably a sequel to that. With the reboot rebasing as "1" would explain the upcoming sequel being called 2. Other game series have put out un-numbered game series have done similar things in the past. Take Grand Theft Auto for example...

GTA 1
GTA 2
GTA 3
GTA Vice City (4th game)
GTA San Andreas (5th game)
GTA 4 (6th game)
GTA 5 (7th game)

In the end it's just a game name. People often put too much thought into numbers used in titles of entertainment products IMHO. I like the band Chickenfoot's way of doing things. The first album is "Chickenfoot" and the 2nd album is called "Chickenfoot III". There is no Chickenfoot II, they named it III on purpose just to confuse people for a laugh. They should call their 3rd album Chickenfoot II just to continue this. :)
Nuh-ur you forgot GTA 1969 and GTA 1961! :-P

Sweet good news

If you find it too easy/simple, download the Long War Mod. It mostly just unlocks features already present in the game.

CthuluIsSpy: Hilt and blade are too long, and it looked single edged.
Probably some sort of sabre or cutlass.

Buenro-games: The picture seems like a serrated cutlass. I think games call it sawtooth.
Actually, could it be oriental in origin? The design reminds me of swords styled after mongolian or chinese weapons.

Thanks for advice. I aws already buying it with Long War in mind. I was even thinking whether I should try the game without it at all as I really like the changes they did.

I think it's worth putting some hours into the base Enemy Within to get feel for the new features before throwing yet another layer of complexity on top of that. Besides, it might turn out you'll like the base expansion better. Unlikely. But it might happen.

Skipping terror from the deep to make a half hearted redux of apocalypse is lame.

It seems like a theme of global resistance fighters, which Apocalypse was quite far from.

Didn't forget about them, they're expansion packs for GTA rather than standalone games. I left out the expansion packs for GTA4 also.

You are likely right.
Snakemen announced
What's the big deal with the Snakemen? Just that they were in the originals? Or is there some other aspect of them I'm missing (implied plot point / storyline I'm not familiar with).
Oh great, another steam game, I'm so excited. Count me the f**k out.
