mk47at: Morrowind's hopping is a great example why skill increase based off actions is a bad idea.

Rolls with poppy seeds or sesame?
avatar
Green_Hilltop: What kind of rolls are they? Sweet rolls?

If they're sweet, I'd probably go for the poppy seeds, given that they're actually processed (eg. a paste or baked) rather than sprinkled with actual poppy seeds. Otherwise I'd just go for the sesame.

Pillars of Eternity or Kingmaker?
Pathfinder: Kingmaker

But only because I have just recently purchased it, though not played it, and It was the only game out of the three I was comparing that met most of my criteria, when choosing an RPG...

Boot or Trainers (sneakers?)

Trooper1270: Boot or Trainers (sneakers?)
Boots becaue they work well in the snow or mud. (Of course, for me the most common choice is actually "neither", as I usually wear clogs these days.)

Linear WRPG or non-linear JRPG?
avatar
dtgreene: Linear WRPG or non-linear JRPG?
WRPG, because they don't have characters that look like teenage popstars.

Point & click adventure or action adventure?

Point & click adventure or action adventure?
action adventure, because they are less likely to contain obtuse puzzles involving cat hair moustaches and quick time events of the throw shoe at cat variety that inexplicably prevent you from progressing 5 hours later.

(Note that I like cats. I just don't like adventure games involving cats).

Buggy moddable games (eg Bethesda) or polished locked-down games?

Mortius1: Buggy moddable games (eg Bethesda) or polished locked-down games?
I think I'll go with buggy modable games, especially since some bugs can actually be fun (including some of the bugs and exploits in Bethesda games; sometimes it can be fun to explore out of bounds, for example). Just remember to save early, often, and in multiple slots when playing games that are known to be buggy (or when beta testing or similar)!

JRPG with graphics typical of a WRPG or WRPG with JRPG-like anime-style graphics?

dtgreene: JRPG with graphics typical of a WRPG or WRPG with JRPG-like anime-style graphics?
WRPG with JRPG-like anime-style graphics, of course! Some anime graphics are really cute, and JRPGs seem to be too similar to each other, WRPGs in general are more appealing to me...

AdLib or SoundBlaster?

AdLib or SoundBlaster?
SoundBlaster, partly because it was the De-facto standard back in the late 90s when I purchased my first PC, and just got so use to the sound. But I actually prefer (and have a very soft spot for) the Commodore Amiga's Paula sound chip, as it was my first time using and owning (and still do) a 'proper' computer. Which was a huge step up from the 8bit S.A.M Coupe and Spectrum 48k machines I had owned before.

Laptop or Desktop ?.

Trooper1270: Laptop or Desktop ?.
Depends. Laptop for tasks that don't need heavy mouse use that I can do while lying down (Linux terminal, some games), or for situations where I need to carry the computer with me, but desktops are better for typing.

Android tablet (ARM CPU) or x86 tablet (With Windows pre-installed)?

Should've gotten a C=64, then. *ducks* ;-)

My first hunch was to say Android tablet due to Google Play Store, but I'd probably pick a Windows-based one and install Google Play Store on it (or Bluestacks, if it can't run them natively).

Wow, where do you live that you can wear clogs comfortably? It'd be too cold to wear them in winter in Europe! I hope they're not crocs. ;)

T-shirts or button shirts?
T-shirts, hands down.

Checkpoints or manually activated save points?
avatar
Leroux: Checkpoints or manually activated save points?
Activated save points, checkpoints sometimes are too far from each other.

"Your choices matter" or "Railroad story" ?
avatar
Buttspikes: Activated save points, checkpoints sometimes are too far from each other.
Well, activated savepoints can be just as far from each other, but I guess at least they allow you to save some progress you've made in between, if you backtrack to play it safe.

1. When I wear them, I wear them with socks, which helps with the cold.
2. When there's snow, or if it gets really cold, I wear my boots. (If it's really cold, I have some nice fleece leggings that allows me yo be comfortable even if it gets *really* cold, like one week last winter (though I stayed home on the coldest day of that week, which I'm pretty sure was either record setting or close to it).)

avatar
Buttspikes: "Your choices matter" or "Railroad story" ?
Of those two, I'd go with "Your choices matter", but I think my preference might actually be a linear (or linear-ish) game that doesn't have any story to speak of (so like Super Mario Bros. 1, except that I consider the whole "rescue the princess" plot to not be necessary).

Raspberry Pi. Because I like berries and Greek letters.

Save on quit or Save on rest/camp?
