As of today X3: Farnham's Legacy becomes a part of X3: Terran War Pack on GOG.COM.

The free expansion has a new storyline and some cool additions to the open, free-form gameplay that forms the core of all X series games.

Note: apart from the X3: Terran War Pack you can also buy a new X3 Donation Pack, with 100% of the money going to the Doctors Without Borders Foundation. For more details, check the description on the Donation Pack’s page.

Excellent news! I've been waiting for it to be released on GOG to play it. Interestingly, today I finished playing X3 TC, I guess it's time to go back to X universe

Hopefullly it runs in Wine on Linux.

This is a mod made with the blessing of the game developers.

It probably has the same WINE status as "X3:AP", because it is just a mod.
That being said, it seem to mandate Winetricks (at least "quartz", maybe more) and in my book it is a no-go.

Largely irrelevant for me due to "X4: Foundations". :|

If you're using Galaxy, then yes, sounds about right. There's no patch for the offline installers though.

It does, much like X3:AP. I took it for a spin yesterday. Definitely feels like a new take on the X3 universe, so I don't think it will win me over from my sandbox X3:AP game, but it's nice to see the community keeping the flame lit and expanding the scope.

Didn't know anything about it; looking forward to seeing the content firsthand next time I visit the X3 universe. Thanks for bringing it here!
