As of today X3: Farnham's Legacy becomes a part of X3: Terran War Pack on GOG.COM.

The free expansion has a new storyline and some cool additions to the open, free-form gameplay that forms the core of all X series games.

Note: apart from the X3: Terran War Pack you can also buy a new X3 Donation Pack, with 100% of the money going to the Doctors Without Borders Foundation. For more details, check the description on the Donation Pack’s page.

Correction, only the Windows version got the update... *sigh*

Outside of going to their HQ and begging for updates on Linux, I've tried everything I could to convince Egosoft to update the installer. To no avail.

Fair enough, I guess (what a way to dodge responsibilities), but the base games (X3:TC & X3:AP) are still outdated on Linux... they've been outdated for years now.

Well, based on the response Egosoft gave me on their forums, they are aware of the discrepancy. They're just taking their time to fix it... into forevermore. It's all about X4 these days. Old games get no love.

Wait, so how do you get Farmham's DLC on GOG?

I see on Steam, it has its own DLC listing and it's listed as Free there. Added to my Steam account there - and boom, good to go.

It's included in the War Pack. It will install all 3 (Terran Conflict, Albion Prelude, Farnham's Legacy) X3 games in one shot.

It's included in 'X3: Terran War Pack'.

Well, that all threw me off!
Since Steam has all 3 different listings for X3 TC, AP, and FL.

I didn't see X3: Terran Conflict or Albion Prelude DLC here, so I was confused.

Makes more sense now, saying that the Terran Conflict War Pack is all 3 X3TC pieces - X3TC; AP; and FL.

No worries. Forgot about X3: Reunion, which is its own game :). Weird they kept it separate, but then again it must be a common assets thing behind the split.
