HypersomniacLive: Do you crawl back in at night?

mrkgnao: No need. My wi-fi signal is strong enough that I can post here even from outside.
And let's face it; if you'd be ejected out of your house by a giant spider, would you really want to go back in?

Who knows, the two of them could talk it out over pizza or something and learn to get along. He might actually be a nice guy.
oh kingbradley, you never cease amusing me.

now for the question at hand, i try to save them. however, when it comes to those thousand-leggers (i know they aren't millipedes, that's just their nickname where i'm from), screw them, they get smashed immediately. scare the shit out of me. bleck.

As long as it's vegan pizza, I have no objections.
I would. I have.

I was upset the one time I wasn't able to get one out of the drain quickly enough before (s)he went down. I still have the image of those little legs briefly grasping the drainhole in my mind :(

Well in the book he raises them before he eats them which always made it way more interesting to me. :P
In general I have a dislike for spiders. It's just a phobia. However there are certain spiders I will hunt and kill if I know they are around (black window for example) and others I will leave alone (jumping spiders). If they are harmless I otherwise leave them alone if they leave me alone.

That said. Spiders on my desk, the floor or my immediate area may die.
Look at it this way. If you kill the spider, you'll lose what small chance you had at becoming Spiderman.
Not only would I rescue a spider, I would allow it to live inside my apartment because spiders are valuable allies in my bitter battle against mosquitoes. Mosquitoes really have it out for me.
This one spider stayed next to the ceiling light right above my bed for several months and I was a little bit miffed when it suddenly wasn't there one day. Another spider lived near my kitchen floor where it built a nice net and even caught a wasp one day. It was very fascinating to watch how the spider wrapped up the larger animal, skilled like a professional Mexican at your favorite burrito joint.
It's complicated.
Are you trying to open Hospital for insects there?
