tinyE: YES!

YES YES YES!

In fact I do on a regular basis.

We need spiders, especially where I live.
+1

I love spiders, they're awesome!
i peed on one once, and then felt bad and tried to save it but then it slipped through my fingers before washing down the drain

The black ones in my house have a red hourglass pattern, which I feel warrants marking them for death.
I don't kill any of the little critter bastards.

and yes I do attempt to intervene when I find them in a spot in the bathroom where I know they'll drown or scald to to death.

when I find them I put them out the door. in the winter the little critters go to ground.

Majnun: Absolutely save the spider.

They kill all the bad bugs in your house.

Unless it drops down and lands on my face...then it has to die.

I even rescue scorpions. I dunno where the come from but thankfully they're usually already dead when I find them.

Centipedes I cut into small pieces before flushing them down the toilet. AND EACH PIECE STILL MOVES...justifying my irrational fear of centipedes.
You should fry the scorpions and eat them, they're delicious. Especially when lightly seasoned.

phaolo: Here there aren't many spiders and they're minuscole anyway.
If I find one inside the house, I just take it and put it outside.

Why do people hate those harmless Daddy long legs ? O_o
It would be kinder to smash them. The ones that don't find their way back inside the house die a slow unpleasent death. House spiders cannot live outside they're not evolved for it.

Naw, that just means they're enthusiastic horologists.

Crewdroog: oh kingbradley, you never cease amusing me.

now for the question at hand, i try to save them. however, when it comes to those thousand-leggers (i know they aren't millipedes, that's just their nickname where i'm from), screw them, they get smashed immediately. scare the shit out of me. bleck.
I leave those be. They're extremely voracious predators of pests like cockroaches, ants, silverfish, etc. They'll eat several times their body weight in critters a night, all by themselves. They're like spiders on crack.

We don't have those here, but our spiders are freaking huge. I have to wonder how many bugs a spider has to get to not properly fit in the palm of your hand.

Wouldn't they crap everywhere then? That's a little worrying.
Or you can get bit and see if you become Spider-man!!!

Yeah, but I can deal with centipede poop.

True, I suppose poop's preferable to pests. At least it doesn't have legs and run around.

Sorry, only Daddy Long Legs can do it :P

Are you sure of this ? (not for the faint of heart)
