ShadowWulfe: Hoarders gonna hoard.
True, true....

I download all games to my NAS whether I like them or not, bought or got for free, it doesent matter.
Software is often lost in the abyss as studios dissapear. Even devtools is lost, so I also allways download the modtools as they might help som time.

Breja: No, but I wish I could give some away. I mean the ones I started, discovered I don't like them at all and never finished, will never play again. In the good old days with physical copies I'd just sell them or give to friends who have different taste in games - someone would get something out of them. With digital copies it's just an eternal waste.
Giving away Master of Orion 3 copies actually sounds like a great way to troll someone tbh.

waste of what, exactly? digital non-existent 1's and 0's?

that is one of the main difference between physical and digital.... you know... one is physical, and the other digital....

Money I spent on the game?

MightyFloTheKing: Consider your spouse / life partner wants to leave you and you don't know it and kept the PC on and logged in.
A: I'm leaving you.
B: I don't care, I have my games.
A: You had, lol CU, loser...
Why would your SO have your account credentials?

By that I mean if deleting games is possible, it shouldn't be done with just two mouse clicks.
It's literally that on Steam.
Not for games I've paid money for, but I would like an option to get rid of games I got as temporary freebies. I got at least a dozen or so which I'm sure I'll never play and now regret having accepted.

My thoughts exactly. I have some free games I got when I was new here that I would like removed from my library... and, yes, I have them hidden already, but I would like them gone for good.

Also games that are added automatically to your library, without the option to decline, when you buy something else.

Indeed, I got Elder scrolls: Daggerfall and Arena (as goodies for Fallout: New Vegas iirc), and have zero interest in ever playing them. I know it might be a bit OCD, but I'd like the option to get rid of such freebies which I don't really want as part of my collection.

I'm sorry for derailing but you should definitely play at least the Daggerfall.

I don't know, I like some older games quite a lot (e.g. Albion from 1995), but tbh Daggerfall seems a little too ancient to me. Not sure its gameplay would appeal to me either, if I understand correctly it's mainly about exploring a huge open world, with randomly generated dungeons,,,while I like exploration, that might be too open-ended for me.
But maybe I'll still try it one day. There are some other games I'd definitely like to get rid of though (looking at you, AD 2044!).

It's easily one the best pre-2000 RPGs for me, if not THE best. Sure, it's one of those games that didn't age well graphically but still I believe it's a must play to every fan and even "semi-fan" of Elder Scrolls.

Although if you are not into open-ended exploration then I might have been a bit too hasty recommending it to you, because that's basically the whole game here.

Albion is indeed a good one, i'm going trough it again with nvidia integer scaling power atm!
As GOG releases more-and-more of the games that I previously could only acquire through Steam, I do wish there was a way to give my Steam versions to others.
I only did this with one game that was given away for free on Steam. Nowadays, if the game is given for free and is not to my liking, I just don't reclaim it.

For all the others I accumulated throughout the years, both on GOG and Steam, I just created a tag/collection, respectively, called "Others" where I dump them.
