rjbuffchix: I am in favor of curation but think RPGs are particularly popular among GOG's audience, especially old-school minded users, so they should not be getting rejected unless we are talking RPG Maker asset flips. When you (not "you" personally) think about it, the love of RPGs on this store makes a lot of sense. Gamers who like dedicated single player experiences will often gravitate to RPGs, since they're usually designed that way and have a massive amount of content (thus a deeper experience compared to shorter games).
But that's EXACTLY how I feel.....hence why I said what I did....you seemed to have made a grammatical error before, is what I meant. :)

rjbuffchix: GOG curation have already approved multiple mediocre-looking games with mobile design. That weakens trust and the problem is compounded when the consumer also sees desirable non-mobile-type games getting rejected by curation.
Plus Gog approves games with boatloads of DLC as well, which some feel goes against their original mission and also weakens some trust.

(Not by me....I couldn't care less if Gog sells such, but some mind it and are vocal about it)

rjbuffchix: I know I personally am willing to buy RPGs without having played them, but not other genres.
I am also willing to buy or at least wishlist(due to tight budget) many games from certain genres, and i'm sure many others do as well.

Crosmando: I think the point is, Zachtronics games have a much more narrow fanbase than RPGs.
This....I wasn't trying to put those games(or those who love them) down.....I just used them to make a point(that there's more potential customers for some genres).

Oh! I think I see now. My mistake. My bad for the confusion.

Fair point. I wasn't here but from what I understand the original idea was "complete" games. I do think it would help to go back to try and providing that experience in other aspects (manuals, guides, video walkthroughs in file format), though in the case of DLC, that has taken too much root at this point to not sell imo.

I have to say it seems from my interactions on here that Zachtronics has a pretty dedicated fanbase regardless of size. It may be that it's smart business-wise for GOG to bring future Zachtronic games here, but not necessarily other "non-brand-name" puzzlers. That said, those games still don't appeal as much to me as RPGs, which have a wider audience. If curation is going to listen to a vocal Zachtronics audience, they should also listen to a vocal RPG audience.
Pull on your fancy clothes, cause you just got served.

Amazing you think you are untitled to insult me whenever you want...
It says everything about your lack of character.

Hopefully this game has improved since the PS3 game people were not very happy with in 2009. Otherwise, be careful what you wish for. I'm sure many have already found out when they spent their money on Grimoire and tried to play it...

Like when you TOTALLY DID NOT insult many of us in the various threads on both games?

I guess that was ok when you did it?

(Though I AGREE the name thing he did was uncalled for)

You really should stop being a sore loser and admit(more) when you're wrong....it builds character and shows maturity.
(I am trying to offer genuine advice with this line, btw, and not[primarily] trying to lord it over you)

Side note: I find the fact that the rep spammer hitting our posts came back and likely signed into their alts just to downrate my single post here to be hilarious.....but their time so they do them I guess.

It helps if you have appropriate expectations. For example, in this case, I am expecting a game like Elminage Gothic, not something like Wizardry 8. Someone expecting something like Wizardry 8 will be disappointed, while fans of Elminage Gothic will likely enjoy this game.
hmmm

RWarehall: DreadOut

Why was it added? Maybe because they want DreadOut 2 here...as a Day 1 release and this is intended as advertising for the upcoming game where they plan to make Day 1 money.
I know you don't post on this forum any more, but that doesn't prevent me from pointing out that - given that DreadOut 2 was released on Steam over half a year ago and still hasn't shown up on gog (to say nothing of the Keepers of the Dark standalone DLC) - you were wrong about this as well.

Booyahasha!
