Is there any way to avoid using your "totally optional" client? Witcher 3 offline installers, have incorporated in them, that ugly update which adds minor drm (log in rewards gated behind client) and (for many people visually plus performance-wise) breaks the game...

How to download the old, Classic, stable version, before that thing called your "update" hit us? Without obviously installing Galaxy, then installing the game through it and proceeding to rollback through client!

If there isn't any other way, will you kindly consider fixing your installers/game library entry and offering the "update" separately?

If memory serves: a) Galaxy is "optional" b) all games here are DRM-Free and come in standalone, offline installers!

A new account asking a question a grumbling forum regular would ask. Nothing remotely iffy is going on here.

Check the right column on the download page of your totally legally aquired game that shows on your other account but not this one. Look for "classic".

Nothing new or strange, in blackmailing users to change avatar or be banned. Ever since recent events, gog opted out of the apolitical and non-racist spectrum/guideline. Unlike steam which ousted partial, overzealous, trigger happy, power abusive volunteering moderators, gog remains stangant in that field as well, exactly like in many others.

Thank you, thank you and thank you! I had no idea it was moved to game "extras". Now i will keep my eyes open, in case other games have a similar trick!

SOLVED!

and thanks to forum users. The support is broken and a joke. Even steam's support acts faster and better, than modern gog's. Ah, those were the days; with the consumer-friendly policies (official and unofficial), the transparency of communications, the mutual honesty and the two way fidelity, the priority to older games and their compatibility with modern systems, the DRM-Free revolution, the GOG downloader, the fast and accurate support, the good old goodness... sigh, now i am sad :'(

Now wouldn't that be nice to have more active moderators :P

In good old days. No moderation either.

No client, optional or not... No moderation, volunteering or not... Additions and "updates", sometimes break things. It's just that simple.
