Hello, everybody!
I just want to quickly say that I am running a set-up like that:

Intel Core i7 3770K
2x Geforce GTX 780 SLI
16Gb Corsair Vengeance RAM
The game is installed on a SSD

which is more that recommended specs (single Geforce GTX 770)

On 'ultra', the game runs at 20 fps on my machine, so I am playing with everything tuned down to 'low'.
And I mean, what the hell? Witcher 2 had bad optimisation, but not that bad.
I hope that developers will see this post and take note, that they should, maybe, look into it.
And please, refrain from posting messeges like "Yo PC sucks, run quad-SLI Titans X".

Graphical downgrade is not a problem, the problem is when you have arms going out of your b****t.
Well, it has some demanding and beautiful effects. So on a 3 year old card (even in SLI) it probably won't run on ultra. Try disabling hairworks and reducing shadows. That should bring your framerate to around 40.

For some reason the 780's are not running so well. They seem to be around half the performance of even a 970. Remember that this game is a console to PC port, NOT a PC to console port so its optimisations are horrible.
Witcher 3 is badly optimized, it doesn't work ultra on my toaster :\

Console to PC port? Can you please send me links to websites which quote that?

OK, I thinks it is more of a marketing mistake. The fact that they recommend GTX 770 is a mistake.
Maybe they were just shy to post Titan X SLI to press, because, well, people would get scared of such demands.
But then - it is simply lying! Doesn't matter if you wre shy or tried to keep people "safe", it's lying to a consumer.
I thought "Hey, GTX 770 is in the Recommended. I will be able to run this game NP...." Yeah right, go break over.
You actually need to run Titan X SLI. But why lie about it?

Well didn't they that the recommended specs would give you around 30 fps?...

Well that's a new Errorcode ;)
Dunno about optimization, but this game freezes a lot. Hopefully the new drives nVidia released help with this matter, as it's really annoying.

Then again, it's PC gaming.
People always assume that 2 cards (SLI, crossfire ..) is better than one in every possible scenario.
They don't realize that most of the time you just gain processing power (you can deal with more/better effects) at the expense of PCIe Bandwidth (less capacity to transfer textures). SLI/crossfire is not the miracle solution GPU sellers would like you to believe it is.

Is it really worse on a single card ?

(Oh, and there is a subforum for this kind of thread)

Ugh.. I hope that GOG\CDPR didn't totally mess up this release.. many people are reporting errors
Since when is "Recommended" = "Ultra" ?

Get a Titan or two.

So much this.

Recommended doesn't mean "be able to run at maximum settings", it means "you can play the game just fine". Or it's supposed to mean that.
Nah. I bought third Witcher in local Old Books store and it runs flawlessly. No crashes, no glitches... Perfect book.

Oh wait...
