So I'm running the The Witcher Enhanced Edition DC on PlayOnLinux (wine)

And I have this very strange bug where all the bodies are invisible.
So you can only see the teeth, eyes and a little bit of their face.

After I restart the game a few times it goes away, but its a real headache to keep restarting the game.

There's a big thread on WineHQ about what seems to be the same issue.
Perhaps something there will help?

Alright, that didn't go well.
After installing the open source drivers and starting the witcher, my whole PC froze.
So I had to revert back to the old one.

Sadly that wine thread didn't help...
Add the HKCU/Software/Wine/Direct3D/CheckFloatConstants key to the registry and set it to "enabled", no quotes. That will fix it 100% of the time.

It's a problem with multiple games. I had the same problem with Grim Dawn + nVidia in Wine.

Ummm... how would I do that?

Run regedit.exe in the same Wine prefix as your Witcher installation, then add that key to the registry. If you're using PlayOnLinux you can run regedit from the configuration screen.

If you need help adding keys check out the many guides online.

And it's mentioned in the thread as being the fix as well.

Alright so I have done that and it still didn't fix it.

It sure is, I just thought i'd point out the exact fix as I've used it before. :)

You didn't add the correct type of entry. Add the same type as the other entries in the Direct3D key. I can't remember off the top of my head. I think it's Reg_SZ (String Value), i'll see if I can check quick here.

Hmm well that should work with that version, i'm not sure what else you can try.

I'm not sure why your GLSL Support is disabled though, you can try turning that back on in the PlayOnLinux configuration to see if that makes an difference.
