You've got mail!

Browsing catalogs, tracking sales, ain't nobody got time for that.
Well, you finally don't need to - we'll email you when a game on your wishlist goes on sale.

Starting this weekend, when a GOG.com game (or games) on your wishlist gets a discount, you'll receive an automatic email notification with a quick way to jump straight to the product page. Nice and convenient.
If you don't want to receive these notifications, you can always unsubscribe directly through the first email you receive, or by heading to Account > Orders & Settings > and changing your Subscriptions settings.

We're still in the early days of rolling out the feature, so we'll continue iterating and nailing down the details and functionality - but with nearly 13,000 votes for the option on our Community Wishlist, we sure hope it comes in handy!
Awesome!
Awesome! Good to see you adding another request feature.
I guess I can get rid of isthereanydeal.com now.
A great feature for people who have lives. Just more spam to me. Thanks, nonetheless GOG! :)
Finally. But not sure how is that going to work since gog mail usually comes one day after a sale or an even started.
Glad to see this feature implemented on GOG.
Awesome improvement, GOG!

Great! Now next time I'm stuck offline for an extended period I can see what I've missed! O________o

(that seems to be the only time anything from my wishlist goes on sale these days! ;D)

tinyE: XD The email address I gave to GOG is my B&B address. The folks are gonna love this. :P
B&B? Barbecue & Breakfast?
Seems very cool especially with another 12,000 votes completed thanks to this. Admittedly I am waiting for the catch that many people will hate, however. "Get notified when your wishlisted games are discounted through email! However, to do this, we now have to run your games library through your email inbox also. And you can only use Gmail."

What about (optionally) getting email when games you vote for on the Community Wishlist are released here?

No but that's not a bad idea!

Every room has a bed and a Weber grill!
Nice feature for those, who really need it, I guess.

But since my "Wishlist" is more of a "I-will-take-it-into-consideration-list", I'm not one of them.

Same goes for my Steam-Wishlist...and there I already am annoyed with the "A game from your wishlist is on sale"- eMails.

Problem is not so much the feature as such, but my daily routine: I stop by GOG and Steam (and some other sites) on a daily basis, to look, what's new and interesting - so, if a game from my "wishlist" is on sale - I most certainly will notice.

With all that said - I will wait for the first eMail, then think about it - and then (very probably) unsubscribe.

But thanks, nonetheless! :o)
Very good! Thanks. :)
Neat feature. Wonder if it'll spam inboxes during insomnia sales though.

ssokolow: Maybe for you. All the major mail sites now require you to have a smartphone to prove your identity before creating new accounts.

Grargar: Nope. I just created a Gmail account and didn't have to give a single digit of my phone number (and no, I didn't even have to fill the telephone number field).
Probably regional, then. As you may have noticed, I'm in North America.

It won't allow you to proceed at all? Or it just presents it as mandatory, but it actually isn't?
