You've got mail!

Browsing catalogs, tracking sales, ain't nobody got time for that.
Well, you finally don't need to - we'll email you when a game on your wishlist goes on sale.

Starting this weekend, when a GOG.com game (or games) on your wishlist gets a discount, you'll receive an automatic email notification with a quick way to jump straight to the product page. Nice and convenient.
If you don't want to receive these notifications, you can always unsubscribe directly through the first email you receive, or by heading to Account > Orders & Settings > and changing your Subscriptions settings.

We're still in the early days of rolling out the feature, so we'll continue iterating and nailing down the details and functionality - but with nearly 13,000 votes for the option on our Community Wishlist, we sure hope it comes in handy!

Thank you, GOG!!!
thanks GOG!

ET3D: Nice addition, definitely.

What I'd love is a way to wishlist games I already own, so if I want to gift a copy of that game I'll know when I can buy a discounted gift copy.
But then someone may gift you a game you already have :) So it would be better if it is a separate private "gift wishlist".
Thanks, but a better feature would be to FIX the broken updates notification! Please...it's been broken for a few years now. For example Wasteland 2 DC was just updated a few times and not once did the notification ever show up when I checked my account. Thank goodness for the MaGOG database!

Or just separate the price notification from the wishlist.
I got a notification email and I have to say that I'm disappointed by GOG and this feature. Not only did it take literally ages to implement after if has been asked, also very important information is missing (the actual price, the base price, the discount). Compared to this the notifications of isthereanydeal.com are containing much more information. Also the Galaxy advertisment is unnecessary (at least for users like me who are already one year or more there and know about Galaxy). Galaxy is really not that great. It's a better downloader with some achievements so far.

So, unfortunately, I will probably opt out of the GOG notification mails and will instead rely on the isthereanydeal.com ones.

I would have never thought that GOG can become so bad that they implement a feature but not make it really useful. I'm severely disappointed.

So I added a wish in the wishlist:
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/include_price_and_base_price_and_discount_in_emails_about_games_wishlisted_on_promo

Let's hope for another 13000 wishes.

finally .
I don't think I will see a lot of those notifications in my inbox due to the price of my wishlisted games. Perhaps only when big sales begin or rare promos by publishers. So I'm sure the upcoming notifications will really surprise me. :))
More Infos in the e-Mail please.

And if you are at it, let us insert a threshold price in the wishlist.

So you know, at witch value we are willing to pay.

mrkgnao: The notification system is apparently configured to notify you only if the wishlisted items will be on sale for more than 24 hours from the notification, [...]
Really a shame, I'd think that a notification would be more useful if it was about an item that one was more likely to miss due to a short time span it's on sale.

Perhaps GOG can re-configure the system to sent a notification like those "last chance" ones they send.

xyem: You do realise you can't even sort games by price, right?
That's actually a big omission, and should be added a.s.a.p., as should the "by discount" option.

Good Deal. This will come in very handy.
Thx GoG...

Finally. Now you need to fix your "money back guarantee" which isn't a guarantee at all.
You are seriously lacking in that department compared to Origin and Steam.

Here's how it goes on Origin:
- Buy game
- Download game
- Play game
- Request refund
- Get refund within 24 hours

Here's how it goes on Steam:
- Buy game
- Download game
- Play game
- Request refund
- Get refund within 24 hours

Here's how it goes on GOG:
- Buy game
- Download game
- Play game
- Request refund
- Get standard bot answer
- Answer standard bot answer
- Get another standard bot answer yet again
- Answer standard bot answer yet again
- Get another friggin' bot answer (is anyone even reading this?!)
- Give up, GOG wins

There is is reason why GOG refund policy is so, is because all products are DRM Free, once you download it, it stays on your computer, even if you request a refund, GOG has this policy incase people abuse it, Unlike steam and origin its removed from your steam or origin library. Only way you can get a refund on GOG if the product doesnt work on your computer, not like if you change your mind.
Yay! Thanks GOG <3
I rarely check my email. Especially since I have a few for different purposes and safety ( can't trust having everything for say.. MMOs and stuff on just one email.. ).

I'd prefer to have messages sent on the site if that's possible. Sometimes I don't feel like going through a damn list to see if what I'm looking for is on sale or not. We're getting some pretty big lists of games on sale so difficult to keep up with. Juuust a bit. Just a bit.
