tinyE: I'd like to say how nice it is to see people who actually participate in the forum going for these codes. I was beginning to get worried. :D
The problem here is that all the forum regulars (and many more besides who only rarely poke their heads in) have already gotten copies of these if they want them.
I suspect the whole point of the way GOG set up these "free with purchase" promo codes in last year's sales was to try to get people gifting OUTSIDE the slightly insular gift-giving community here. When people can't give away copies of
SimCity 2000,
System Shock 2 or
Divine Divinity to the usual suspects, they've gotta widen their nets, find potential recipients elsewhere, maybe even people who don't yet have a GOG account. And that's good, as it brings in more customers, and helps encourage occasional customers to maybe check in more often.
And speaking for myself, I'd rather have a "leech" redeem a promo code for a game than let it expire.
