The discounts are underwhelming. There were far better deals earlier this year for the same titles that are of my interest. Yet one of their announcements earlier this year said "prepare for the largest discounts at the end of the year".

DreamedArtist: Wonder if that thing on the 4th has to do with Death Stranding with it getting it's DRM removed from Steam. I think we might get it here as a release. Having a very strong feeling about it...

If so? I am ready for it!

B1tF1ghter: That would inevitably require Galaxy for online-related functionality.
Well yeah but you can play the game offline though. Nothing special for the online related stuff besides having user generated content that can break the game experience for many. This can make it easier to get past specific areas of the game that would otherwise pose a challenge for the user.

But besides that having the game here would be nice, but all in all lets really see what GOG is really holding for us that they say is such a surprise...
avatar
eiii: Do you have any reference from a blue for that?
avatar
gog2002x: I got an email similar to that, stating they would make sure to discount the game due to the support delays during this sale. Probably did that since they are aware many ticket resolutions are likely to go past the end of the sale on Jan. 4th. Seems like the're trying to do right by us.

It wasn't a blue, but an email from their support staff. Though the message was auto generated, likely by their staff initiating it rather than their system.

Niggles: Are there going to be anymore flash deals?
avatar
gog2002x: No idea if it's a flash sale, but they did say there would be one more surprise before the end of the sale.
.
Yeah, the surprise was, that there were no special offers on X-mas.

Even they need a day off to celebrate right? We can't be the only ones with famliy. :)

Why don't we give them the benefit of waiting until next week and see what happens. Who knows right?

Special X-mas offers a week after X-mas? Sounds rather weird, to be honest.

What do you mean? I thought there were plenty of games over 80% off and many up to 90%. If anything I had to shake my head smiling ruefully at games I bought only recently go on even lower sale prices lol.

We got 2 free games (or was it 3, I forgot), one a AAA game no less, though I didn't know it was until people mentioned it. Plenty of newsletter discounts. Several nice bundle deals. A few of flash deals. At least one nostalgic game release. Though I didn't get Prison Architec, since it wasn't my type of game so why bother adding it to my library lol.

Unless someone has a spreadsheet for comparison, I'd say this was a pretty good Winter sale.

I'll go back and check my 2018 and 2019 Winter sale emails and see if they did something on the 24th or 25th. This year all I saw was the Sunless series newsletter on the 24th.

I asked a similar question about 2 weeks ago -- seems the better discounts always seem the sale before or two before the xmas sale. Noticed this the last few years to. I believe more games are on sale on the previous sales as well unless im completely wrong....

I keep seeing random comments about that game. What is the big deal with it? (aside from the main char looking like Norman Reed from Walking Dead)

Kojima pretty much used big name actors and made a travel/walking simulator that you travel from point A to B with Norman Reedus to deliver supplies to different districts around America. But with some F'd up twists, His piss is a weapon lol and other crazy stuff that I won't spoil. But the game does have a very interesting story and VERY good Cutscenes that are almost movie Quality. It's for the most part a very relaxing game with some elements to it. I myself hope it does come here. I would love to enjoy something fresh for a bit.

take a quick look at this

" we still have a surprise in store for you before the Winter "

Soooo...
Tomorrow than ?
Maybe in in the new year? Holiday til then.
Hardly possible, but I still hope that GOG will add more Square Enix games this week (Just Cause series, Kane & Lynch series, Sleeping Dogs).

During this year, I completed Sleeping Dogs twice (both the original and Definitive Edition), but I will gladly complete it one more time when / if it appears on GOG. (:

There were two games given away. Now, for the discounts. I will write down some of the examples of the games from my wishlist. I will compare the record low prices in the past two years (this year and last) with the current discount. Here I go:

Call Of Juarez - Gunslinger record low 75% 2,49€, current price 60% 5€.
Dishonored - Complete Collection record low 75% 17,49€, current price 70% 21,04€.
Dishonored record low 75% 5€, current price 70% 5,99€.
Dishonored 2 record low 80% 7,99€, current price 70% 11,99€.
Dishonored - Death Of The Outsider record low 80% 5,99€, current price 70% 8,99€.
Fight'N Rage record low 85% 2,99€, current price 60% 7,99€.
Indivisible record low 50% 19,99€, current price 40% 23,99€.
Legend Of Keepers - Career Of A Dungeon Master record low 30% 12,59€, current price 25%13,49€.
Tropico 3 record low 75% 3,29€, current price 69% 3,79€.
Tropico 4 - Complete DLC Pack record low 75% 3,29€, current price 50% 6,19€.
The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter record low 85% 2,69€, current price 75% 4,19€.
Blitzkrieg record low 80% 1,09€, current price 70% 1,49€.
Blitzkrieg II record low 80% 1,09€, current price 70% 1,49€.
XIII record low 65% 2,09€, current price 60% 2,39€.
Shadow Warrior record low 75% 7,49€, current price now stick with me, it is the same discount of 75%, but the game costs even more, it is 8,29€ now. The whole game got a lot more expensive.
Gekido - Kintaro's Revenge record low 50% 4,99€, currently not discounted.
Grim Dawn - Ashes Of Malmouth record low 40% 10,79€, current price 30% 12,59€.

These are examples that suffice the confirmation of my statement. You bet there are more examples, which I have not included.
