Has anyone else had the Windows 10 November update deleting their games from GoG.com?

I've had: Dragonshard, Broken Sword 1 & 2, 7th guest, Desparados 1, a few Tex Murphy games and half a dozen other GoG games (I haven't worked out which ones yet!) deleted after the update.

skerbgs: Desparados 1
I thought Desperados 1 was incompatible for Windows 8 and above, how'd you get it working on Windows 10?

That's a common issue with TH2, you need to reinstall them (depending on how the savegames are handled, they probably are lost).

Also, just checked Desperados. Seems to work fine for me on Win 10. Just installed it, went through the videos and completed most of the tutorials.

That's interesting, when it didn't work properly on Windows 8 I assumed it wouldn't work on 10 as well. Some problem related to DirectDraw made it unplayable on Windows 8. When I contacted support they pointed out that store page doesn't promise compatibility and being the nice people that they are, offered a replacement even though it was my mistake. Declined it though, since I could just install Windows 7 on my next PC and play it.

Game speed seemed a touch slow, but I didn't look to see if there was a slider or not. There are a few games which seem to work better than they did on Win 8.1. I've only run into a couple games that didn't run at all on Win 10 and each time, it involved the game not recognizing the OS. Some required some settings tweaks, but I think I might also be fortunate to have an AMD card. Seems their drivers are a little better with backwards compatibility. I know NVidia had some issues with their drivers and DirectDraw at least at first.
I've lost not a single game after the update. By the way were they installed to the C partition?

They were installed on a secondary drive.
yay another reason not to "upgrade| to windows 10 ima stick with win 8 until it dies of old age then XD
The prospect of switching to Windows 10 is only getting better and better...

"Windows 10, run Desperados executable from GOG Library."

"I'm sorry Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that. This Operating System is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it. Goodbye."

I don't blame you, Windows 8 is way more mature an OS than Windows 10 at the moment.
Thanks for the warning, I'm glad I only installed it on a "guinea pig" computer
Wow, if they use that functionality in Windows Server 2016 as well, they won't sell many copies of that. Who in their right mind would use a server OS which might uninstall potentially critical components without warning?
Just an increasing example of where Microsoft seems to be saying "We know better than you what you want.". I guess it is fine for total newbies, but for more advanced users, it is damn annoying.

It also increasingly seems the OS and apps give less and less information what the heck they are doing. You get some circulating symbol and at best a "please wait..." text, and wait there for minutes or hours wondering is it really doing anything, or just stuck there. I would be much happier with a proper text log where it says all the time what it is doing at any point, what commands it is running etc. Even if I didn't understand all of it, at least I can tell if it is proceeding, and where it is stuck, if it is stuck.

It seems as if they feel the less information they give to the end user, the better. The end-user has less to worry about, and MS receives less support calls because users don't detect errors as often.
