Neither Imperialism 1 or Imperialism 2 are working in Windows 10. I've tried every available compatibility setting, with no luck. Anyone had success with these games and Win 10? Thanks.

I cannot get Imp II to run either. However, Microsoft says it's compatible and has been tested to run.

Here is yet another website saying it runs.

http://www.gameskinny.com/hgzwv/windows-10-games-compatibility-list

http://wccftech.com/windows-10-compatible-games/

I did research before upgrading, and am highly annoyed i cannot get it to run.

I am eagerly looking forward to answers, if someone can figure out out how. I have another few days, and am thinking about going back to Win 7, solely because of this issue.
OK. I'm upgrading my computer and that includes a clean install of Windows 10. So before upgrading, I decided to do a little experiment on my computer which had a Windows 10 upgrade.

I decided to try the games that are not marked as compatible with Windows 10. Note that these are only the ones I own. I intend to try again once the upgrade is completed (there might be changes, who knows maybe some problems are due to leftover drivers or components). Note that I didn't play for very long and some of them may have problems later, but they worked for the short time I played (I'm a little short on time at the moment).

- Beyond Divinity: Works fine. No problems
- Darkstone: Works fine. Used dgVoodoo
- Divine Divinity: Works, not very playable. Big FPS drops.
- Dust: An Elysian Tail: Works fine
- Fallout: Works fine. Used Fallout FIXT
- Freedom Force vs The Third Reich: Works fine. Requires DirectPlay (Windows 10 installs it automatically)
- Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2: Works fine.
- Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver: Works Fine. Suprisingly, no audio glitches, but that might be because I switched to my motherboard's audio until a patch is made for my sound card (which should come out in September according to the website)
- Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2: Doesn't Work. Direct 3D Error Message (E_FAIL).
- The Longest Journey: Works fine until I try to quit, which causes a crash that requires a reboot. I'm honestly surprised that it worked that well, considering how much it didn't worked on my Windows 7 machine (except for that last part).
- Might and Magic VII: Blood and Honor: Works fine.
- Painkiller Black Edition: Works fine.
- Pandemonium!: Doesn't work. Doesn't start at all.
- Psychonauts: Seems to work, except for a slight dip in FPS.
- Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator: Works, not very playable. Low FPS.
- Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast: Works fine. No problems at all.
- Summoner: Works fine.
- Tex Murphy Overseer: Doesn't work. Doesn't start at all.
- Wizardry 8: Works fine. Crashes upon exiting.
- XIII: Doesn't work at all. Error message
- Ys Origins. Works fine.

I don't know if these problems are known and if there are already workarounds (if so, it would be nice to know).

For the two that don't start (Pandemonium! and Tex Murphy Overseer) the game is running, but absolutely nothing happens (not even a black screen).

All of these were tested with GOG Galaxy.

And of course, I'm going to try them again once my PC is upgraded and got a clean install to see if there's any changes.

I hope that information helps.

POLE7645: - Painkiller Black Edition: Works fine.
Huh, it's interesting how some games seem to work fine on Windows 10, despite how the game card does not claim they are compatible. I guess I should give Painkiller Black Edition a try on Windows 10, despite how GOG does not explicitly state it works.

That was pretty much the goal of this experiment. I ran into a post saying that Dust: An Elysian Tail doesn't work on Windows 10, despite the fact that I tried it as soon as I upgraded my OS and it worked. I decided to check every game deemed "non-compatible" that I owned and this list is the results.
I just checked a few and I'll continue for those games not listed as working with Windows 10.
For others benefit, my system is an i7 4770k and a R9 290 video card.
Adventures of Shuggy - no problems
1954 Alcatraz - no problems
Alien Shooter + Expansions - Whole screen flickers on and off, although it doesn't appear there is any lag moving around. Definitely an issue though.
American Conquest + Fight Back - no problems except running way too fast with install/default settings but there is a game speed toggle.
Aquanox 2 - no problems on default. Got an exception error playing with some video settings, but that can happen with many games.

BKGaming: -Games That Appear To Work On Windows 10-
....
Okay, first to get the testing specs out of the way:

* Core i7 5700HQ CPU (2.7 GHz).
* 16 GB RAM.
* Intel HD 5600 & nVidia GTX 960M (2 GB GDDR5).
* Windows 10 Pro x64 (updated from Windows 8.1 Pro).
* Games installed through installers and imported/updated with latest GOG Galaxy.

Here's what I've tried so far that isn't on the list. All games were launched and played briefly to see if anything odd cropped up.

* Forgotten Realms The Archives Collection Volume 1 - All games work.
* Forgotten Realms The Archives Collection Volume 2 - All games work.
* Divinity II Developer's Cut - Works fine.
* Sacred Gold - Works fine.
* Sacred 2 Gold - Works fine. CM 1.50 installs and works fine as well.
* Simon the Sorcerer 3D - Works fine.
* Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - Works fine. Had to turn off Hardware Mouse in the Settings program.
* Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - Works fine. Had to turn off Hardware Mouse in the Settings program.
* The Incredible Machine Mega Pack - All four TIM games work fine.

Still have a lot of games to try out, heh.

Here's some more testing:

* Tropico 4 (with DLC) - Woks fine.
* Creatures: The Albian Years - Creatures works. Creatures 2 has similar screen issues as Windows 8 (menus cut off and black box covering part of the screen).
* Creatures Exodus - Works fine.
* Creatures Village - Works fine.

Edit: Creatures 2 needs to be set to 16-bit color and a few steps performed to reduce the black box's impact on the game. More information in DiscoverAlbia's post. The Tools menu cuts off while the sim is running, but if you pause the game that tools menu displays properly.

Right now I've tried:

Outlaws - Doesn't work. Exe starts as a process, but nothing further happens/it occasionally froze my start menu
Interstate 76 - Seems to work - but I could never tell if it was running correctly (graphics/etc) on Win7 either, so someone may want to have a longer look at it.
Worms 2 doesn't work at all.
Wizardry 8 seemed to work as long as you don't try to cut the in-game videos short in which case in crashes.
Sigh - I was l already thinking of getting a new rig since my current one is getting long in the tooth. Sounds like I should just keep Win7 running on this one with some serious clean-up of the over-full HD and wait to see if I get my contract renewed or find a new one - in which case a new PC will be a viable financial option. And any game that needed a faster/better rig will be happy while the older ones can still be happily run on this one. Too bad my ancient XP machine is close to biting the dust... yeah, I keep my machines around for a looooong time!
Has anyone been able to install and run Carmageddon 2 fine? GOG lists it as a Windows 10 compatible title, but it seems to have some persistent installer issue where the installer will never fully finish the installation, and you end up with a non-working installation that is missing e.g. the uninstaller (so you can't fully uninstall your broken installation either).

http://www.gog.com/forum/carmageddon_series/cant_install_carmageddon_2/page1

There seems to be some regsrv32 or somesuch running in the Windows process list eating most of the CPU time, when the installer gets jammed. Is this some innosetup installer issue?

It seems the issue is both with the Galaxy version and the standalone installer.

Yup, there was an issue, the way you describe it. It has been, however, fixed. :)
+1 Thank you for this.

I couldn't see them on the list but I got Theme Hospital, Theme Park and Crusader: No remorse to work in GoG Galaxy without having to tweak them.

However I can not get Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer to work at all, I've tried in GoG Galaxy and without GoG Galaxy. I can't get Revenant to work either as it wants to install DirectPlay but I can't get it to install it as it claims I don't have any internet network, maybe someone could help me out with that.

I had no problems with Revenant (and GoG lists it as compatible) so maybe you should throw a line to support on that one.
Testing MM8 on my rig shortly, will post results...
Not having any problems here with that one...works fine out of the box.
