Divine Divinity works, even if it's a bit slow, with frequent slowdowns and very long loading screens. Not ideal at all.
A buddy of mine mentioned something about KOTOR giving him trouble when he tried to run it with win10. Love to have some confirmation for this. If KOTOR doesn't work with win10 then I'm not getting win10

I don't own KOTOR, can't help you with this :)

I hope that only means you don't own it anymore, and not that you haven't played it at all!
No worries though, I'm sure somebody will be able to confirm sooner or later :)

I know exactly to whom I lent my beautiful 4 CDs box, 10+ years ago. It never came back.
I haven't played KotOR 2, though. I'll buy them on the first sale :)

WesleyB: I tried.

Keep in mind, I'm running preview Win10 on a three-year old laptop (HP ProBook 4540s). The OS works fine (aside from Start Menu crashing at times) and it's running on AMD GPU. I'll keep installing games on this thing, but for now, this:

Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned - Doesn't work. GOG version asks me for a CD1. Inserting the actual disc from a retail version doesn't work. Installed retail version shows intro videos and gets to the main menu, but crashes as soon as I start Day 1. Setting compatibility to either WinXP or Win7 doesn't fix the problem.

Star Wars Republic Commando - Works. Doesn't even crash with bump-mapping on. Which is funny because my main gaming PC couldn't run this at all on NVIDIA hardware. And the game is a total blast!

UPDATE:

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six - Doesn't work. The process from the .exe is there in the taskbar, but nothing happens.

Evil Genius - Works. The game is still a buggy mess as it ever was, though.
Thanks will update soon, on mobile right now. The CD issue might not be a Windows 10 issue as I've seen others have similar issue with GOG games. Might wait and see if anyone else can also confirm this before adding that one.

Thank you guys, a nice community effort. There are our own Win10 compatibility tests undergoing at the moment (whole catalogue to check, yay). I personally would especially be interested in games that cause you problems.

When I ran it, I actually entered the game, however, as soon as Gabriel appeared the textures started shimming. Such a shame as GK3 is one of my all time faves...

Hi,

Keep an eye on post number 2. ;)

Right now:

Flatout (Gives a "must be run as admin" error but still won't work even if you run it as an admin)
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (Game works but may have screen flickering during video's... not sure if this is a Windows 10 issue or a driver issue)
Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc (Needs to be run in Windows 7 Compatibility Mode to work)
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six (The process from the .exe is there in the taskbar, but nothing happens.)

Made notes, I will check them at work on Monday. Keep them coming.

Those of you who played Dosbox games, any problems? We observe screen not refreshing properly in a dosbox window.
Added the following:

-Games That Appear To Work On Windows 10-
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat (Install as a clean copy, importing an old installation via Galaxy may cause issues).
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky (Install as a clean copy, importing an old installation via Galaxy may cause issues)
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl (Install as a clean copy, importing an old installation via Galaxy may cause issues)
Tropico
Tropico 2
Tropico 3 Gold Edition

I unfortunately can't help with this one, DosBox games are not really my thing. All I can do is confirm they appear to work, but I imagine someone around here will be able to help. Lol

I'm in the middle of compiling a list of working and problematic games, but right now I can confirm Flatout does work for me. It gives me the "run as administrator" error when I try running through galaxy, but running as administrator from the game's folder worked for me and I just finished the first race.

Dosbox seemed to run just as fine for me as it was in Win7and haven't noticed refresh problems (I always run games using ddraw, if that's important).

What concerns me though is ScummVM. The current official release (that I guess is the one that's bundled with most of gog's old adventure games) runs HORRIBLY on Win10, giving various graphical artefacts in games while lagging like it's running on a toaster. The current daily build does work fine, though, so I expect a major update to the official release in the near future.

I've got Windows 10 on my SSD; my uncle is giving me an HDD which I'll be using as my main storage drive for 10; once that's here, I'll test my games. I've got all of the Heroes of Might and Magic titles, all of the Wing commander, and most of the Divinity games (only missing the new ones).

Though I imagine the DOSBox games should work just fine.
As much as I really want to test the games I have on my shelves with Windows 10, I'm still not going to install Windows 10 until its official release.

I'm not sure what they will change, fix, tweak or do at the last minute until it's debut at the end of July, perhaps nothing will change perhaps they will fix some critical issue others' worked around during the CTP release, I don't like taking chances on that.

It may be a bit premature to determine what *is* and *isn't* working and whether or not those who find things not working are using a 'stock' or 'upgrade' version of Windows.

When I get to the point of testing, I will be upgrading my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit edition to whichever edition of Windows 10 they will allow me to install.

The ScummVM games I tried (Loom and The Dig) run very well on my PC, and I just installed them through Galaxy. Strange.

Hmmm, I've tried as an admin, I've tried as an admin and in compatibility mode and it doesn't launch for me. The game isn't even running in the background. What Windows 10 build are you running?
