Hi,

I just noticed i got an upgrade for Windows 10, currently on 7,

Does it works well with GoG games or games in general?

A few games are reported as incompatible. But I can't remember them off the top of my head, which means they're not that many.
According to MaGoG list - 159 GoG games aren't compatible with win10. Very few indeed ; )

I've had issues only with one or two games. Out of GOG titles I've got only Return to Krondor doesn't work, but that didn't work under Windows 8 either.

win10 isn't compatible with me and that's a good reason not to 'upgrade'

also games with SafeDisc and SecuROM aren't compatible with w10.

I haven't upgraded yet myself.
But are you compatible with win 10? Aren't relationships kinda two-way street? =)

sidenote: mind boggling is that Gabriel Knight 3 asks a disc every time. The gog version.

I thought 7 and 8 got/would get an update to do the same.

That doesn't necessary means they are incompatible, instead it should means that they are not tested on Windows 10.
Still, it's a risky purchase. But searching on the web should clarify if it can actually run on W10 or not.
I think that if it's compatible with windows 8.1, it's probably compatible with windows 10.

So, among others, Shogo, Inherit the Earth, Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, Postal 2, SiN Gold, Stronghold, UT 2004 and Wing Commander 3 are not compatible with Windows 10.

Yeah, fuck Windows 10.

Somebody test this thing on Windows 10! Since I don't own the game but rather want it....

I tried UT 2004 since I own the game and haven't played it on Windows 10 yet. There doesn't seem to be a problem with starting and playing he game on a Windows 10 system. No idea how things are with Postal 2 though, but I assume they just don't list Windows 10 in the compatible OS list because some users do have issues in the end.

I had only two problems with Windows 10 so far. One was Swat 3 which is unplayable, and the other is Divine Divinity which ran well on Windows 7 but on 10 it's very slow. Though I bet for the latter I can find a workaround if I get into it.

I have Win 10x64 and Postal 2 runs just fine, this list of 150 games is more likely just 'not tested games' than really not compatible.

More importantly, does the installation mess with the Windows registry or My Documents folder? I don't want to lose any save games or make the operating systems think that some programs are not installed.

Well, even more, uninstalling some software without prompt: http://www.gog.com/forum/general/windows_10_spyware_on_windows_78_computers/post141

Even if win10 is supported there is still a note:
Please be advised that Windows 10 operating system will receive frequent hardware driver and software updates following its release; this may affect game compatibility
So, games may or may not work, do it on your own risk.
