I have bought the monkey island collection, since i've never had the opportunity to play them, and now i'm dedicating more time to point and click classics than when i was younger.
Also the XIII giveaway has given me another opportunity to play this amazing classic (i have had it twice on ps2, and had an old pc physical copy), while i wait for the remake to fix the performance issues on ps4.
I'm a procrastinator, but I plan to grab Mad Max.
I think it's one of the most interesting worlds ever created in film, and the ability to immerse yourself in a first person view of an environment that is constantly changing while you ride through the wastelands on a customized ride... it just sounds like a treat. I will have some badass soundtracks playing while I explore this game.
I got the whole Might and Magic collection because SsethTzeentach from Youtube showed me how many war crimes I can commit in a single game and still be a hero, so now I have to try it myself.
Plus Heroes of M&M 5 because why not, let's just buy everything.
I got me a few pretty things:
Milkmaid of the Milky Way: attracted by the cute graphics and bucolic art, I found a simple short story all told in rhyme, with nice puzzles
Elminage Gothic: it's been a while I wanted to get this one, I have neglected RPGs for adventures in the last years and I have some catching up
The Night of the Rabbit: I had it from another platform from many years ago and I finally played it and enjoyed it for its cuteness and darker sides. I like to repurchase my favourites games on GOG when possible.
GoNNER: I wanted to have it on GOG as well, it's a bit hard but I'll try harder! Minimalistic graphics and music help make it a very interesting roguelite.
Of Orcs and Men: I had received the Styx game from a friend so I decided to start the story from the beginning with the first in the series.
Felix The Reaper: dancing puzzle for a price that's more than fair
the Inner World: interesting world and graphics, and a sequel waiting
Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight: it's hard to believe I hadn't got this already. I like pixel art metroidvanias.
I got Mad Max and XCOM2

do I recommend them? I dunno, I haven't playd them yet lol :D but XCOM1 was good and Mad Max has photomode

also I got Little Misfortune

I recommend everybody pick-up Steel Rats on the main page...b/c it's free, of course! Yes, you have to be a member of their newsletter and/or marketing stuff - but "free is free!" As a frugal and/or cheap person, I'm always down w/ grabbing free stuff!

Sure, I've never played it or anything - but "free is free"; and increasing my game counts on GOG matters; and also especially across all platforms is great. Always looking at Galaxy calculate how many games I own across major platforms is always hilarious - b/c I must be over 3700 games by now.

Now, keep in mind - these 3700 games might not include some games I own at retail on disc(s) and also don't own digitally; might not include any games I have from my old consoles (i.e. Atari 7800, NES, Genesis, Game Gear, and original Playstation); and/or any other PC games that are on dead launchers in which that game might still actually might work.

I also grabbed a free copy of XIII (old school version) and hope everybody else did - as that's a good classic FPS with a real interesting & timeless cel-shaded look & vibe to it. Plus, you know, David Dachovny from X-Files "Mulder" fame and Californication fame as "Hank Moody" is here as the lead. Hard to not be entertained by this good shooter. Seriously, I must have owned this game numerous times at numerous stores - retail store on discs; Steam; and GOG.

I always can recommend GOG, as I do love when they normally stick to their DRM-FREE roots & guns. I usually get the downloaders for old-games and install those. For newer times, I normally grab the downloaders and then update via Galaxy. I like that Galaxy exists (namely as it's a lot easier for patching newer games and games constantly getting updates) and that in most instances it's optional, but I hope they never abandon those DRM-FREE roots. It's the reason when most stores, most dev's, and most publishers go the "protect the game" to no ends routes everywhere - this is often the reason I do re-buy games from GOG, when I do...even if I own them from retail already, another store like Steam already; and/or everywhere else. I do like when GOG fixes long-standing issues on games too - as again, this can sometimes be enough to re-buy a game great, as it's less hassle to deal w/ a game.

I can easily recommend Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines from here...as it literally comes equipped w/ Wesp's Community Patches (Basic Version), which often fix so many issues...just w/ the game booting up. I own this game on retail on disc and on GOG. I'm surprise I ain't also re-bought this on Steam, TBH. My love for this game is so undying....with its Community taking care of it; and all the great work from Troika (RIP) before they folded. I love this game to death - with its immersion; music; story; twist & turns; characters; atmosphere. For me, there's still never been any game like it on the market.

I recently got Painkiller: Overdose in a Giveaway section the other day. I did like what little I played of it from retail, back in the day - but I so have to recommend its previous entry Painkiller: Black. I was always a fan of frantic non-stop, break-neck action-packed FPS's, like these, which are a blast and all - but PK: Black is awesome. Its gothic-vibes; it's quality of graphics and performances back in the day. More so than anything, the variety of weapons and enemies and levels are so all over-the-place and so different - it feels like each level and/or episode/act is its own thing. It's awesome.

Yeah, there are so many other great games & classics I can recommend - Planescape: Torment; Baldur's Gate series; Bioshock series; Deus Ex games (except Invisible War); Thief series; Dishonored series; Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition; Jade Empire; etc etc - but I'd probably be here all day, talking about what makes all of these games great.

And this all ain't even tipping the iceberg of greatness, which can be found during this sale.
I got XIII and Steel rats. I recommend them because they were free!!!
I got Stranglehold and Metro Exodus at awesome prizes. Will probably get some other stuff as well before the end of the sale.
I bought Stronghold Crusader 2 And i liked 10/10 recomanded with very seriosity if you like rts or history
Horizon Zero Dawn because mech dinosaurs. Do you really need more reason than that?
I haven't bought anything during the sale but I highly recommend Stranglehold. It's the best "Max Payne" clone available on GOG and a no brainer in term of fun after a hard day... or just to forget the lockdown !
I bought HellBlade Senua's Sacrifice because I was running low on the voices in my head.
I purchased Horizon Zero Dawn and all the Prince of Persia games.

The Prince of Persia series is an early introduction to the gameplay that can be found in later Assassin´s Creed games and is a classic franchise derived from Jordan Mechner´s Prince of Persia, which featured innovative player control and a cinematic, movie-like experience.

Horizon-Zero Dawn is simply one of the best open-world RPGs. If one liked the experience of games such as The Witcher 3, then HZD is a game which will provide a similar experience.
Sale Items are:

Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People - Just SO Fun and Funny to play..

Serious Sam's Bogus Detour - Great Lan Party Game

Painkiller Black Edition - Classic shoot em' in the face game

Race the Sun - great for twitching and screaming out loud

Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - got to own them all.. :)

Yes I recommend them ALL :)
I picked up Operencia: the Stolen Sun.
I tried it out on Game Pass and enjoyed it a lot.
