Lotta love for Mob Rule.

I love a bit of story driven management. It has botht that old skool difficulty curve and big bright fun graphics. Itt doesn't try to please everyone, it's just fun.
I picked up all the wing comander games. I have very fond memories of playing these games with my friend.

- Enemy Engaged: Apache Havoc
- Enemy Engaged: Comanche Hokum
- Jagged Alliance

I have EEAH and EECH in boxes but don't have a computer with a CD-ROM drive any more. The modded EECH is still the best combat helicopter simulator there is, especially the dynamic campaign.

I didn't play Jagged Alliance properly back when it was released so perhaps I'll win it this decade!
I picked up Cyberpunk 2077 and Horizon Zero Dawn. Both had been 0n my list to get ever since I upgraded my PC. They're very beautiful action RPGs in their own way. Cyberpunk 2077 was recently patched to fix many bugs, starting the game and playing for about an hour so far, I've only seen one minor bug, a NPC walking through a car.
I purchased a decent number of games this sale.
But I am really interested in playing Night in the Woods. The art style and presentation seem unique, and the plot of the narrative appears intriguing.
Though I have been making use of other digital game retailers, owning the games I buy, and trusting in having a fat and quality library for retirement, led me to GoG. However, getting started felt daunting (I have way too many games on other platforms). This Spring Sale was just what I needed!

So what did I get? Over 300 games ^_^ with some quality picks being:

+ £37.39 [-45%; close to the -50% best ever] Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Eternal Edition (All the series in one solid package stuffed with goodies!).

+ £1.97 [-86% to -87%; first 2 games at their all time low, third one close to that -90%] Atlantis: The Lost Tales & Atlantis 2: Beyond Atlantis & Atlantis 3: The New World (Remember the first 2 from high school. Solid classics).

+ £7.00 [-80%; at its all time low] The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition (completed this on Xbox; will play again; and yes, I picked up all the series).

+ £0.89 [-80%; at its all time low] The Mystery of the Druids (remember the cringy cover from my youth; bought because of a video on the game by MandaloreGaming. "It's the Mystery of the Druds!").

+ £6.54 [£1.09/title -75% for each title that is not FREE; all time low is at -85%] The Ultima^{TM} Series (no experience other than admiring Utlima Online in an old Greek computer magazine "PC Master"; Where can I play Ultima Online?... :O "uo dot com").

+ £2.19 [-75%; all time low was at -74% but normal price has slightly increased] Might and Magic® 6-pack Limited Edition (I loved playing M&M 6, and have now started from M&M 1; I am getting too familiar with the in-game inn).

But I think the best purchase I made during Spring sale was not "discounted" at all. £4.99 was more than a fair price for "Ori Blind Forest: Definitive Edition".

Some small "losses" compared to respective all-time-lows, but those few £ don't compare to the convenience of building my library up so fast (money is time, quite literally).

What struck me the most during the Spring Sale was the comment section under each game. People here are extremely helpful and genuinely care about Gaming. Another thing I noticed was the, not uncommon, praise for GoG's curation of the games available, and how they actually put the effort into patching old classics to run in modern machines. I am here to stay.
I bought The Dark Heart of Uukrul, a game I have nostalgic memories of playing about thirty years ago. I had had it back then on my Apple IIc, but I was only able to get halfway through the game because, unknown to me, for the second half it requires two disk drives, and I only had one. I exchanged it for another game, but now I'll finally be able to finish it. It's been awhile, but I remember great and challenging puzzles, and the game is a lot of fun.
I haven't got any games because i have an almost endless list of UNPLAYED GAMES and i feel bad.
I got Cyberpunk, I know it gets alot of hate but I couldn't pass by the GOG deal.
It's been a rough year so I decided to treat myself with a number of games that were in my wishlist for a while.

I got some old goodies like Caesar 1, 2 and Civilization 3 and 4. I'm curious to play those earlier games.
And some PS3-era games as well, like Batman Arkham Asylum and Stranglehold. Those were some of my favorites on that platform, so it's good to have them DRM-Free now.
But out of all the games I got, I think the one that I want to talk the most is The Pedestrian. I'm still playing it, but it's such a delightful puzzle game. I absolutely love the art style and all the background details. I really like that everything is so chill (at least so far) so I'm having a great time.
The main game I was looking forward to was "Railway Empire", which I must say was a steal at the price on offer and came with all DLC at just £21.09 for the Complete Collection. I came across the tile a week back from one of my 12 allocated games on "Humble Bundle".

So I started playing it being completely confused to completely immersed and couldn't put it down once I had an understanding of how things functioned, which the game tutorials explained very well. I found this game had a very relaxing and cosy atmosphere all while giving a solid presentation. There was a decent amount of depth allowing for buying a business or creating the required ones for your needs. Other stuff included laying tracks allowing for adjustments before committing making the whole process streamlined and options for placing maintenance buildings with a water tower that maintained your trains along each route, other options included were hiring personnel that could add certain attributes such as raising ticket prices or lowering maintenance cost of the trains they're assigned to.

Also, I fell in love with the visuals such as how the lightning from clouds interacted with each environment as with the workings of each train drawing me further in the simulation. I found the Camara options very pleasing as well as watching my trains follow the route I set and the attention to detail put into every element was refreshing.

If your passion is Trains this is a must for adding to your GOG collection.

I wholeheartedly recommend Railway Tycoon as it will provide hours of enjoyment and for what's included it's worth the asking price.
I would recommend buying Outer Worlds. Great atmosphere and voice acting, top RPG story and mechanics, as to be expected from the famous Obsidian entertainment. Companions are a riot, different combos yield all kinds of interesting dialogues, there's always a comic relief during a difficult mission. Love the game, played several campaigns on it before the DLCs came out, thinking now I should go back and play DLCs lol
In this sale I bought Operencia: The Stolen Sun, a unique fantasy game that combines oldschool rpg elements with a modern dungeon crawler. In addition, there are a lot of intelligent puzzles to solve.
However, you shouldn't mind only being able to move horizontally or vertically on an invisible grid of squares throughout the whole game. Logically, the fights against all kind of monsters are turn-based.
All in all, this is a game to ponder, not to mindlessly slaughter non-stop.
Well, this sale was like a nostalgia trip for me, I purchased several classic titles and some modern ones.

Games I purchased during the sale: UFO: Aftermath, UFO: Aftershock, Dungeon Keeper Gold, Dungeon Keeper 2, Populous: The Begging, Ultima VII Complete Edition, Mortal Kombat 4, Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood, Jade Empire: Special Edition, Hard West Collector's Edition, Hard West Scars of Freedom, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun - Soundtrack, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun - Artbook + Strategy Guide, Mad Max and Steel Rats (this I get it for free as part of the giveaway).

Recommendations:
- UFO Aftermath: This game is a spiritual successor of the original X-COM series (the one from 1993), it's not quite as good as the game UFO Defense and simplify or cut down some mechanics of the last one, but still is a really enjoyable strategy game that combines Real Time and Turn Base Strategy mechanics and great doses of action!!!! Recommended.

- UFO Aftershock: Sequel of Aftermath, this one improves many aspects of his predecessor, more variety of strategy levels, micromanagement of the base, resourse management, factions, diplomacy, better graphics, better sound, some destructible enviroments, in conclusion, a really good sequel that improves all the bad aspects of it's predecessor, if you like Aftermath you will love Aftershock!!!! Very Recommended.

- Dugeon Keeper Gold: What to said about this game that it hasn't been said before? This is an essential game, Peter Molyneux (designer of Populous, Syndicate, Black & White and Fable Series, among others) created this really fun god-like managerial strategy game, that make you the Evil Lord of your own lair, you are able to shape it the way you like, you will have to take care of your monsters and minions, feed them, entrain them, whipe them and dicede their fate, if they live or die, you are the master and you have the control. You also have to defend your lair of the invaders, those nasty elves and those greedy dwarfs that come for your gold! The game has a great voice acting with the incredible advices of Richard Ridings as The Mentor (I could pay to hear the Mentor in my phone all day) , great sound design and the most important a really good gameplay that is very addictive, you will back to play this game after you finish it!!!! This game is super recommended, it's a must buy and only surpassed by...!!!!

- Dungeon Keeper 2: I'm going straight to the point with this one, like the sequel of UFO, this too improved in every aspect of it's predecessor, better graphics (now in full 3D), better art desing, better sound and soundtrack, better voice acting (Richard Ridings did it again) and even better gameplay!!!! I really loved this game and it's a masterpiece, even if you don't like the RTS genre you must play this game, it's impossible be boring with this one. Extremely recommended, must have, go buy it right now!!!!

- Populous The Beggining: Let's keep with Molyneux titles, the original Populous was the game that created the god-like subgenre and catapulted Peter to the fame. The Beginning is without a doubt the best of the trilogy, it's the most modern one and with more redifined mechanics, the most easy to start playing without any problems, even if you are new to the series you will love this games and will make you want to try the rest of the subgenre!!!! Go and play it, this one is super recommended.

- Ultima VII Complete Edition: The famous Richard Garriott's Ultima series is one of the pioneers in the RPG genre and with Ultima VII is arguably the best of the whole series. To tell the truth it could be a little bit complex for new users, you require some patiences for start to play it, the controls are a obtuse but once you adapt will be a great time for you, a very detail and advanced game for it's time, I will recommend to use Exult mod, this source port update the game to play it in modern systems and make it easier to use with many quality of life improvements. Just for the fact of being one pillar of the history of the videogame industry this game is a very recommended one!!!!

- Mortal Kombat 4: I have so many good memories with this game, reminds me those afternoons at my friend's house when I was a kid, playing Mortal Kombat 4 on the PS1 and those adrenalin rush when we felt the footsteps of their parents and we hurried to turn off the TV or the console or feared the consequences of play that game totally inapropiate for our age. Still is as fun as I remember and I will call my friend for some more fight now that I get it super cheap. Mortal Kombat 4 and all it's gory low poly 3D violence it's a must buy because it extremely recommended!!!!

-Robin Hood The Legend of Sherwood: From Spellbound Entertainment, the same developer of the classic Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, we recived this incredible tactical strategy game, this game make you feel like Robin Hood gping through missions where you have to steal from the richs to give to the poor. Like Spellbound previos title Desperado, Robin Hood has a remarkable voice acting and music, and the same gameplay design where you can approach the differents situations and missions like you want, lethal or non lethal, stealth like a ghost or clear the field with your arrows, you choose what to do. For that freedom of choice and the production quality of the game I super recommend The Legend of Sherwood. It's 90% off so I encourage not to miss this opportunity!!!!

- Jade Empire Special Edition: Remember the time when everything thar Biowere touched became gold? This is a game from that era and unfortunately is painfully underrated, was released in the wrong time and in the wrong console, but this game is exceptional, with a extremelly good story (with a mandatory plot twist), a fantastic intro, outstanding original music, and a simple but effective gameplay that is accessible for every one. The characters are great you will love them all and that ending, OMG that ending!!!! Save China and buy this game because is extremely recommended!!!!

- Hard West + Scars of Freedom: Amd we reach the modern titles, Hard West and it's expansion, Scars of Freedom, it's a turn base strategy game set in the wild west, with supernatural touches. The game could be really fun because copy the mechanics of the latest XCOM series from Firaxis, but it has a major flaw and is the absence of an "overwatch mode" that make the game really difficult for the wromg reason. Despite this, I will recommend the game only if it's on offer (and this game has really good offers).

- Shadow Tactics Blades of the Shogun + all DLCs: I'm still playing this one so I can't say too much, but it feels like Commandos but with modern mechanics and anything that reminds you to Commandos is a really good thing, I like the art style, and not being a fan of stealth games myself (I prefer the chaos :D) I'm really enjoying this one so much. Very recommended so far!!!!

- Mad Max: What can I said about this game? Well, is a really good looking game and is very well optimized, even more now that Denuvo was removed, so that make it the superior version. The game has really fun CQC (close quarter combat) or hand to hand combat, it's a copy of the Batman Arkham Freeflow Combat System and that automatically make it fun. The car combat also is really fun, maybe some enhancement for the car are really expensive and the game has many repetitive activities but this are fun activites. If you bought this game you will recive value for every cent, that's why is very recommended in my opinion, more with this great on going offer!!!!

- Steel Rats: You have a few hours more since the publication of this post to redeem the game for free, and there is my recommendation, IT'S FREE, GO GET IT!!!!

BONUS: I will be short with this I promise, this are a couple of games that I bought a couple of days before the sale started and I want to recommend, this games are Prodeus and Icewind Dale 2 Complete.

- Prodeus: A fantastic FPS that currently is In Dev, but is more polished and has more content that many other games with the double or triple of the price!!!! Ultra recommended!!!! Support the indies!!!!

- Icewind Dale 2 Complete: Like Baldur's Gate but with more action. Super recommended!!!!

And that's all, hope you find a good recommendation in my comment!!!!

NOTE: For all the classic games and for the modern ones you can find fixes, enhancements and many mod that improves the experience at PCGamingWiki, there you will find step by step instructions for all the games you need. I always find all the help I need here, this page is extremely recommended.
