If Windows 10 is on it, then it's not really YOUR computer. You're renting your own property from Microsoft.

That's about how I felt with Windows 10 for the first several months.

It's a lot better now. But it cost me a lot of money once b/c it decided to update while I was in the middle of a financial transaction. It cost me more than a Windows license. And I was rather pissed. My family was all Linux for a year or so after that event, but we've gone back to Windows for now.

With Windows 10 Pro, Group Policy Editor can be used to disable automatic update restarts.

It's one of the few benefits that Pro has for non-business users (although there is apparently a new sandbox feature for untrusted stuff).

I used to use it on Windows 8.1 but there is really no need for it on 10, their start menu is fine enough for me atleast.


But yeah it did work pretty well when i used it.
