LodeRunner is also available on Steam,

Yes I know there were several awful clones/sequels, but this one has all the original levels and graphics, along with an option to use updated graphics.

All we need now is the original Conan, Aztec, and Wings of Fury.

Once again, I'd like to thank GOG's forum software for turning a valid link into an invalid one.

I think that this version on Steam is a little different from what I was playing on my Atari.

Atari version of Montezuma's Revenge has even a small intro.

Shut up and enjoy the downvotes! Everything is working just fine. The permanent purple dot told me so, when I was trying to check the always broken "forum replies" tab!

Darvond: Actual medical problem
Yeah, I know it's a real medical problem.......some might still find that phrase a wee bit offensive tho.
(not me, of course.....I have better things to be offended by, like not getting enough sauce on my burger)

Well, at least they added some new sorting terms for the catalog and whatnot....progress!

Ah, "Dr. Strangegog: How I stopped fretting and learned to love the ratings"....a timeless classic.
(also sorry for the red marks y'all, my new "fan" seems to have not figured out how to rate beyond "low for all" yet)

Is someone come thru and downvote everyone? Everyones comment is low rated. I'd tryed upvoting everyone again but doesn't seem to be working.

As I hinted at the end of post 21 above, someone is lazily just low rating anything in any thread I post to.....best thing to do is to pay it no mind and carry on as usual.

I liked Rick Dangerious. I had the shareware version on my 286. I played that and Secret Agent Man when I had the chicken pox, right after spring break.

I really couldn't care about any rating. I take it that someone new got offended that you brethe air on the same planet they do.

I don't care much either beyond mild curiosities(like how low my rep can go and how long they might keep it up, etc).....tis mildly amusing sometimes, and also an 'honor' of sorts. I mean, no one else has gotten that level of attention across the entire forums(though some other have gotten somewhat close in negarep score).

As a younger lad I played(among other things) a number of similar games like Commander Keen, Duke Nukum/Nukem 1/2, etc....fun times.

"Long before a certain bounty hunter donned her iconic spacesuit, a 16-year-old programmer named Robert Jaeger created one of the first platform games on the Atari 800 computer, Montezuma's Revenge.

Montezuma's Revenge is considered one of the greatest multi-platform hits of the early generation of video games. Now, 40 years later, Handcrafted Mystical Games is bringing Montezuma’s Revenge back to life in a modern remake built for the current consoles and the PC.

In Montezuma's Revenge, players may follow Pedro the explorer or his younger sister Rosita on an expedition for glory into the deadly depths of Montezuma’s tomb. Overcome devious traps, face down monstrous foes, and find a path through the ruins to untold riches – and then see if you can do it again.

Fans of the 1983 original will have something to look forward to as well with the inclusion of a previously unreleased complete Director’s Cut of the original Montezuma’s Revenge with this new edition.

"I am very excited about having a modern update of Montezuma's Revenge for its 40th birthday,” says Jaeger. “HMG (Handcrafted Mystical Games) has assembled some top-notch talent, and I am working with them every step of the way. I am also coding and doing the art for the Director's Cut, which is my completed vision of the original classic version of the game."

Montezuma's Revenge was ahead of its time in 1983 in how it approached replay value and challenge, distinguishing itself with multiple difficulty settings that altered the tomb’s layout, closing paths, changing enemy placement, and floors shrouded in darkness.

Montezuma’s Revenge 40th Anniversary Edition is in development for PC and consoles, and will be launched within the next 9 months."

Jorev: Crappy game so I hope they don't waste resources on it.
Old post, I know, but I really hope these word choices were an intentional (subtle) play on the game's title.
If not, at least it's still accidentally funny. =D
Why have all the posts in this thread been downvoted? Is this the result of Montezuma's revenge?
We consume dates and milk nightly, at bedtime, just to facilitate it, as a good dump is almost as satisfying as a good cum.((;--))
