So I have mulled over this for a while now and I say fixing the review system should be a higher priority than the forum, which has received a couple of duct tape fixes during my years here.
It would be nice if you could highlight a portion of someone's post and click reply to only quote that section instead of the entire thing.

By any chance, are you referring to the fact that you can't edit your reviews? If yes, then I have to agree with you. It is also probably one of the reasons why game publishers are reluctant to release their games here as games that have finally been improved through updates may still have low ratings due to the bad reviews that were posted in the past are still left unchanged.

Absolutely this but also how the whole review disappears sometimes when you try to submit it. The workaround is to write it in a text editor first then copy and paste it in, still annoying.

I see. It sucks that it happens to the posts in the forum as well sometimes, also resulting in people using that same workaround. I remember (if I'm not mistaken) Doc0075 experienced this same issue in one of his giveaways where he apparently had typed something that I believe was pretty long, only to have the forum not show the post later on. He had to take a day off after that I think lol.

Yes but can it be done without manually editing the entire comment? If so, how?
Concentrate and ask again.

No, but is that so much of a problem?

It's an improvement I've seen on other forums. I thought improvements was the topic.

Or how we can't even locate our own reviews.

Not to my knowledge, no.

Now I'm really curious: which forums offer that convenient feature?
I've never seen something like that.

https://demo.flarum.site/

When you select someone's text you get a popup to quote your selection.

Sachys: Favourited threads show up at the top of https://www.gog.com/forum/general
avatar
NovHak: Yes I know about the favourite threads, but it doesn’t change the problem with notifications, and in the end, suffers from the same problem than the posted threads list : oldest favourited threads disappear… or don’t they, for you ?

Tbh I don’t use favourited threads, except to add them to the list when some bug didn’t add the thread to the posted threads list, since I generally want to follow all threads where I posted, but I bet it has the same problem, i.e. you will be able to click Show more to extend the list up to some point where the button will simply disappear.
I use the https://www.gog.com/forum page to track threads I'm interested in, and I'll periodically cull threads I no longer care about from that list. The link to a thread is brighter when there is a reply since the last time I opened the thread. The list isn't sorted by any criteria I've ever been able to figure out, but the Page Down key lets me scan for the brighter links to find updates. I don't think I've ever lost any favorites to a Gog bug, and my deadest favorited thread had a single post (the OP) back in 2015.

If you want to see every thread you've posted in at any time, then yeah, this probably doesn't do what you need either.

Well, that's something new...a forum in Latin.
However...it says "demo", and the comments are "strange" to say the least, so...this isn't a fully developed forum?
More an idea of how a forum in the future may work?
