Just something i wondered about while moving through YT newest offerings.

I heard the news about steam's stance regarding adds in games but, it didn't actually hit until just now 25-02-25 19:57 CesT

That is a good thing right ?
Not all that is Steam is bad?

Or is this just a roose?
Sorry, what?

Are you referring to Steam recently reiterating that developers are not allowed to use paid advertising as their main business model to publish games on the platform? (In other words, not forcing players to watch or engage with advertisements in their games.)

If that’s what you mean, then I think it’s a good rule. And I have no idea what GOG has to do with it. Are you implying that you want games with forced ads on GOG?

Your question makes no sense as it lacks context, at which point you are being rude to Amok.

hold on, when did Steam succumb to the Trump brand?

will Trump Steam have the best taco bowls, too?
ad's in games can honestly help developers reach goals.
but a annoyance beyond space and time to be nagged by.

How about the Naco?

Cards? What's this about ads?

But also, any product worth using proves itself without the need of advertising or marketing teams. Do you remember banner ads for Steam? No. It just happened.

Also, remember to log into the The-Half-Life-3 account next time you want to post absolute malarkey.

I'll admit to being a bit confused here.

Steam doesn't want adverts in-game.
And seeing how Steam kind of rule the world games wise, they are then dictating for the majority.

So are DEVs putting adverts in a GOG version of their game, either by design or at some request by GOG?
That seems very unlikely.
But then maybe they think they can get away with it with GOG, and it is something that is part of any deal with GOG, or just overlooked?

GOG is not Steam, doesn't have the power or control of Steam, cannot dictate etc.

In any case, the words BOLLOCKS and BALDERDASH come to mind.

Is a DEV really going to make two different versions of a game, content wise ... one for GOG one for Steam?
That just does not seem credible.
