tinyE: Magna Cum Laude isn't that bad, it just isn;t a LSL game. I recommend it to anyone who wants to play something but is too drunk to handle any kind of strategy or reflex.
True. That's basically what I always say about it. While I never liked the gameplay all that much, it does have its fair share of funny moments, even if they're incredibly crude and lowbrow compared to the original games. Admittedly, I really enjoyed the "quarters" minigame, though.

InfraSuperman: Although I wonder if anyone will ever demand Carmageddon 64...
LOL, oh man... I hadn't seen that before. But I had to check it out. The idea of Carmageddon on a FAMILY Nintendo system for the FAMILY was too unimaginable.

What I got was a basic as fuck, physics-free, blurry-ass version of Carmageddon 2. So yeah, let's stick with what we've got on that one.

The German version managed to be even worse, because they decided to replace all the zombies from the regular N64 port with... dinosaurs. Small ones at that.

Tiny dinos? Man, even the robots you guys got in the first one were better than that.

I thought it was zombies.

I would buy that. I actually played it a lot. I had Carmageddon 2 on PC, which of course was a lot better than the N64-version, but the split-screen multiplayer was fantastic.

That was the original UK version of the game.

(The proper version was released not long after but at the time there was a lot of scaremongering going on in the media about games in general and this one in particular. The Daily Mail came up with some lies about the game that were so amazing that the Daily Mail's... input was included in the sequel. Hence why there are animals in that one.)

Like Navagon said, that's what the UK got.

In Germany, we had robots for Carmageddon 1, insectoid/reptilian aliens for Carmageddon 2 and dinosaurs that vaguely resembled inflatable pool toys for Carmageddon 64.
By the time TDR 2000 was released, they probably ran out of ideas and simply let us have green-blooded zombies.

Hm, good point. I can actually imagine the split-screen mode being somewhat fun in that game. Not exactly a great game otherwise, though.
