Gonen32: This game is VERY hard to run on modern systems, I hope somone will buy the rights and optimize it.

Nirth: I wouldn't classify it as very hard to get it to run. All you have to do is follow this guide. I used a no-cd crack too to avoid using the CD.
I've tried CubanRaul's patch on a Win 7 computer and the game got stucked after few seconds. Now I have Win 10 and I doubt it will work better.
The most likely scenario as to why we haven't seen the game yet (even though it has been released on the PSN), is because the PC version wasn't published by Crystal Dynamics back in the day, but by Activision and it's possible that Square Enix haven't been able to come to an agreement with them.

Any idea where to find CubanRaul's Installer? The link is dead. :/

Gonen32: I know it is available as a PS1 classic on the PS3 (and 4 ?), but what about the PC ?
I own the rest of the games but I have yet to play them because I want to play the first one first.

I wonder if Night Dive can pull this after necrobumping System Shock.
Blood Omen has come up before in the forums and IIRC the legal issues regarding rights ownership are extremely complex or something like that, making it on the lower side of likely to ever show up here.

Perhaps if everyone who wants to see it here votes for it on the wishlist maybe it'll garner enough interest to convince the rights owners there is a market for it big enough to iron out the legal issues though. :) Mind you, a lot of people go add a game to the wishlist before checking with the search feature to see if it is already there, diluting the total number of votes a given game might get if they did it properly too. GOG could do better at integrating a search feature directly into the box you type the name in when wanting to add an entry though too. :)

It has the same MD5 as the one I used back in 2011 that I still have.
I have Blood Omen on PC and with the aforementioned patch it works fine on Wine.

Thanks a lot!
In my experience, this game does not work right under Windows 7. I tried the fan made installers but the game runs too slow for some odd reason, and this isn't the game, it runs smoother playing the PS1 version on ePSXe and that is with the framerate drops that version has. Not sure if this applies to just me but if it doesn't, then this game is tricky to get working on modern systems.

Lol, funny timing. Just last week or something I fired the game up again. After applying two or three patches from some Russian website I finally got it working, with a fixed speed (but for some reason slower than in the PSX version), no crashes and higher quality cutscenes (no scanlines). What still doesn't work is in-game popups (for instance when reading road signs). They are invisible and only flash up for a single frame when moving on. Tried fixing it with a ddraw wrapper, it even worked, but at the cost of messed up inconsistent performance. I think the game remains beatable without them but if I'm to give this game another go I want it to be perfect. :P

I guess I'll just have to play the PSN classics version.. :/
I still haven't finished the game, I was just curious to see if it still worked so I started it and complains about a CD-check. So annoying, probably caused because I moved the installation folder which rarely brings issues. Bah..
I'd buy it if it were brought to modern OS's on GOG. It was one of my favorite PS1 games, along with Tecmo's Deception.
i hope that it will come i did really like that game
Remember the days where System Shock was the holy grail ? I don't know how much complex the situation is with BO but if we got SS than everything is possible.

Well that was more Night Dive than GOG I think.

The holy grail right now seems to be more Bethesda games like Fallout 3, Doom 3, and Oblivion (or at least those are the ones most often mentioned on the forum). The top-voted game on the wishlist is currently Diablo which seems extremely unlikely, but Full Throttle will probably show up here with an Remaster.

I wouldn't say that. You can't compare games that are widely available (where and the matter of DRM is non relevant) to a game that was in legal hell (SS), the situation here is closer to the second but much worse.
