I just wanted to recommend this amazing indie gem: Wildermyth

Probably one of the most enjoyable games I've played lately.
Even in its current early state, it has a lot of innovative features: Good turn-based (call it XCOM-like) combat, cool character development system and balancing (enemies get improvements after every combat, and with time passing), and comic-like events.

Sorry I am so bad at descriptions or reviews, but I felt the need to write about this... A pity there's no demo available, but if you like tactical turn-based games, RPGs or good stories it is something you should check out.

You can add your vote to the community wishlist here and wonder about how useful this GOG feature really is...

This does indeed sound rather good - added my vote to the wishlist too.
One year after posting in the wishlist, still no news from GOG regarding this gem. One really has to wonder what the problem is :/

The devs don't seem to discard a GOG release but maybe they won't consider it until the game has exited early access. You could ask them about their plans in their itch.io page. They are quite communicative there.

That's good. I'm kinda tired of Eternal Early Access or games indev getting dumped onto GOG like we're some old folk's home.

Devs plan to release here after the first round of post-release bug fixes.

It would seem that even in the indie world, those initial day 1 sales with DRM are coveted (or that's my reading). Post release, GOG gets a shot...

Well, at least it doesn't sound like years before a GOG release.

I'll use Hanlon's razor here and there are usually a lot of rapid updates post-launch as it hits wide release and more bugs get found. For a small indie dev, handling multiple builds and deploys can be an issue. I also, as a GOGger, appreciate knowing it *will* be here, and also that I'll be avoiding early buggiest releases and will have something a bit more polished when we do get it.
Wildermyth out of beta on June 15

Let's hope that means a GOG release is closer...
