Banned because I'm wondering if I can, in good conscience, watch Alien 3. I heard bad things about it, and I'm scared it would ruin the franchise for me.

Banned because I asked Razputin to help with your problem. So he entered your mind and asked your conscience whether watching Alien 3 is actually the right thing to do, and your conscience answered yes. So you should watch it, probably.

Banned, because what you should watch instead is Alien versus USAF.

Banned because Alien 3 is a production disaster and the completely botched monster visuals (a dog in costume, green-screened into scenes, has an ugly green glow and low frame-rate) is kept to a minimum with the alien's POV-shots. The exact same speech is given twice, in 2 different rooms, and they end the second one by determining how to set a trap. Worst of all is it begins with all prior side-characters being killed off-screen, which can only be spun as a positive in that it adds to the bleakness, which is an important part of the anti-sequel ending. The attempt at preventing an Alien 4 is the only objectively good thing about Alien 3, but that was a failed effort anyway.
