HereForTheBeer: In one regard, the movie can't help but be good: all the nerdrage it generates ought to be fairly entertaining.

I've been avoiding everythin other than trailers and posters so far. I'll probably have to avoid this forum too for a couple of days before I see the movie. Unfortunately that one weekend might as well be year in internet time- by the time I'll be ready to join the discussion, the Episode VII thread will be a hundred pages long already :P

I'm optimistic about the whole thing, I'm a little bit excited.

Not sure about the above post, Star Wars 7 is this one is it not? Not written by George Lucas. Imdb, written by Lawrence Kasdan, J.J. Abrams, Michael Arndt. With a characters credit for George Lucas.

I'm sure the movie will be watchable. Maybe even good. But also not in a hurry to see it.

After the first movie you saw Star Wars stuff everywhere and on everything !
Yet they still produced two great sequels.

why will it suck? Maybe because we're not kids anymore. New kids might love it, but it's their childhood, not ours.
SW movies were never pinnacle of artistic production or acting, they were always about action and great looking effects/starships/characters...

Eh, I really don't care either way.

There's so much hype surrounding these new movies and I seem to be the only one not on board the negative or positive hype train. In fact, I'm so much not on the hype train I'm not even on the same planet as the train tracks. Might as well be in a galaxy far, far away...

Can you imagine the disney absolute-trash kiddie logo immediately being followed by "a long time ago in a galaxy far away" and the clashing of the correspondent tunes? hilarious :)

If I could bet then I'd bet a huge sum of money that the movie will greatly suck, the probability is enormous!

But I'll enjoy the fans raping, it'll be exactly like ~sixteen years ago when the fools went to see jarjar the second time because they were afraid that they did't get it the first time! Yes, they were that stupid!

I can't stand the SW ads anymore too. -_-'

I'm going to see the movie, but I'll have my fingers crossed.
Star Trek 1 wasn't great, ST 2 was fun but with a crap plot, so who knows about this one..
