viperfdl: The new Star Wars film will suck because it can never fulfil the enormous expectations evoked by the hype.
Same happened with Fallout 4.
Hm, how about we celebrate with some songs from the Star Wars Christmas album?
just a though: if you don't watch it, you can't get disappointed!

Tallima: I can't believe I've never seen this before! I don't know if Peter Pan Live or this is better.
That

Oh, you're in for a treat, then! Get ready for at least half an hour of wookies growling at one another.

We should have been celebrating finnish independency.

What a horrible thing to hear.

Lifthrasil: Actually that is what gives me a bit of a new hope. :-) Lucas made the prequels - and they were horrible. Disney at least has many entertaining movies in it's portfolio. They can't possibly do worse than Lucas did and they surely can do better. Will Episode VII have the same magic that the old ones did? No. But I still guess that it might be good after all. And as tiny said: it's Star Wars, I will watch it anyhow (and many others too ... which Disney knows ... which in turn worries me a bit)
I have to agree that the new movies will almost certainly be better than the prequels. No Jar Jar, no creepy romance that reads more as an unhinged guy foisting his unwanted attentions on a queen than two people united by mutual attraction and liking? Win.

That being said, just being better than the prequels is a very low standard, and with Abrams involved, my expectations aren't super high.

tinyE: Who cares if it sucks, it's Star Wars!
Maybe they should look at Hardware Wars They had a robot that really sucked.
Why that movie sucks? I would think that too little Han Solo and too many those other people.

Harrison Ford is an icon, not just for the latest generation, but others before him. (Ever see American Hot Wax? yeah, it was before Grease.)

The man survived two plane crashes, and that's outside of his role of Indiana Jones. The man is a legend, and rightfully so.
I will not be able to enjoy the latest Star Wars movie, due to my increasing standards for entertainment. 4/10: Just another popcorn flick, whose sole purpose is to give me an excuse to drink a cherry slurpee. Beyond that? Meh.

Seriously? That is probably going to be my real-life reaction. :(

He was in American Hot Wax? I remember Jay Leno in that but not Harrison.

Of course his 30 second bit in 'Apocalypse Now' was fantastic! :D

FYI: Tim McIntire who played Alan Freed in AHW was also the voice of Blood in 'A Boy and His Dog'.
